Oh I tried Nadia Hussains peanut honey and curry chicken gnochi traybake. It's bloody delicious.

I went to a bbq about 15 years ago where the host revealed her ‘star dish’ of the meal to much fanfare

It was half bananas wrapped in bacon, and she said that everyone was initially sceptical and then loved them

I am a fairly adventurous eater so gladly gave it a try

15 years on, I can remember the horror like it was yesterday

The texture, the jarring flavours. Chewing the bacon while the attached banana mush got more mushy

It is beyond rank. If she wasn’t so earnest about the whole thing, I would have thought she was playing a horrible prank on us all
