It’s gone a bit chilly! Only just reaching 19* in the lounge.

I’ve definitely been spoiled by the 28/29 degree heat I’ve had for the last 2 weeks. I’m sat here today with my big sweater on again, covered up with a blanket, and contemplating putting woolly socks on 😂. But absolutely no to heating! Not till October…

SparkyBlue · 03/07/2023 11:00

Yes last night was absolutely freezing. We had to check that we hadn't left a door open. September or very late August at least before the heating goes on

Muststopeating · 03/07/2023 11:00

No! I turn my heating off when the house gets to 19C (17C when I'm feeling tight).

I am very judgy about people who have their thermostats set above 21C (unless a clinical reason). It just seems excessive and wasteful.

Have you already put on a cosy jumper and socks?

TeaAndStrumpets · 03/07/2023 11:01

No heating yet but the socks and gilet have come out! I did put my electric blanket on last night.

EmpressSoleil · 03/07/2023 11:04

It’s about 18 here which feels ok. Quite pleasant really. It takes quite a lot to cool my house down when it gets hot so I’d really begrudge putting the heating on now, knowing by next week I’ll probably be trying to cool the place down again! I didn’t use my portable air con last night though. First night of the summer I haven’t so far.

GeraltsBathtub · 03/07/2023 11:05

No way. 1) I’m sat here in shorts and 2) I never put my heating above 18 and BBC app says it’s 18 here today anyway. I’m not expecting to put the heating on until around October.

bibbityboppityboo · 03/07/2023 11:06

So tempted!! The thermostat has just dropped to 20• and it's bloody chilly, definitely a huge change from the 28• we have recently!

Tlolljs · 03/07/2023 11:07

Where do you all live?
It’s hot here, humid, but hot.

B1993 · 03/07/2023 11:16

No, but I am wrapped up. My app says it's currently 13• outside with heighs of 17•, but obviously warmer inside.

cinnamonfrenchtoast · 03/07/2023 11:20

Not at all.

BMW6 · 03/07/2023 11:22

What? No, if I feel chilly I put a jumper on.

LubaLuca · 03/07/2023 11:24

It hasn't even crossed my mind. It's just a cool day, not even close to cold. Stick a cardigan on.

transformandriseup · 03/07/2023 11:25

It's not hot here but there is little wind. You need a jacket on to go out but all of our windows are open.

eandz13 · 03/07/2023 11:26

Yeah, I've stuck mine on for an hour. I wouldn't usually because we're skinto, but I've a house full of poorly people struggling to feel warm even with extra layers on.

SirChenjins · 03/07/2023 11:27

Ours has been on - 12 degrees this morning with a chilly wind. I refuse to be cold.

isthismylifenow · 03/07/2023 11:27

I wish I had some to put on.....

(Southern hemisphere woes)

I am frozen. Its 17 outside (which is described on my weather app as.....chilly) inside it is really cold. I don't have a thermometer for indoors, but safe to say I am sat at my desk, wearing a parka jacket and a blanket over me.

I will go outside and sit in the sun for a bit to heat up.

It is mid winter here though, so not too unexpected.

(Parka jacket will be on all day though I expect).

TheChosenTwo · 03/07/2023 11:28

Put it on if you’re cold! The room I’m in at the moment is 23 degrees so I’m okay.
I have had it on in July and august plenty of times if i’m cold though. I don’t pay attention to the date.

FrenchandSaunders · 03/07/2023 11:29

Heating on when it's 19!
Can't get my head around that 😮

Beezknees · 03/07/2023 11:35

No. I'd never put my heating on in July!

bluesky45 · 03/07/2023 11:35

Our house hasn't dropped below 21degrees yet, I was boiling in bed last night and opened the window which I never normally do. No chance of heating here yet! I don't intend to have it on until October ideally, house needs to be 17degrees before I'll consider it. Prices are just too high to justify it otherwise.

megletthesecond · 03/07/2023 11:39

Yes, but I won't. It's 17° in North Hampshire. I've got thick tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt and my lips are slightly blue as usual. I can't bear it until it gets to 23°ish.

Is this indoor temp?

As I don't have a indoor thermometer, I just downloaded an app.

Its 12 degrees atm in my home office. At 12.50pm.

We are all about layering 😀

FrenchandSaunders · 03/07/2023 11:59

Your thermostat should show the indoor temp.

I'm in south hampshire and I've been in shorts and T-shirt all day!

GeraltsBathtub · 03/07/2023 12:02

@isthismylifenow 17 will be outside temp in north Hants. Where are you, Norway?
