Tomorrow is the Commons vote on the Privileges Committee's findings that Boris Johnson deliberately misled Parliament over Downing Street parties during lockdown

The vote is a free vote rather than being whipped either way. Tories have been told that the vote will be a one-line whip, meaning they will not be obliged to participate.

Boris Johnson is believed to have advised his backers to not vote against it.

He cleverly suggested on radio 4 this morning that the Prime Minister's plan to reduce inflation is to do something with apprenticeships.

It felt as though he was more lost at sea than anything else.

Didn't he claim the problem was "low skilled inflation" ? Presumably if we had that more skilled inflation, we'd be OK.

What a fucking useless twat and waste of a minister salary.

I did get a bit confused when he started on about a high wage economy, but we can't pay public sector workers more.

Well going by his attendance in parliament he's hardly likely to actually attend the privy council.

I doubt he even knows what the Privy Council is.

Michael Gove at least was upfront about why he was abstaining, and it did seem a valid reason to me, even though I disagree with his opinion.

Removal from the Privy Council is rare, not sure it would happen if Mr Johnson was imprisoned (which he should be, as I am opposed to the death penalty).

Anyone see QT last night? The government are so proud of how Brexit is going they couldn't find a single member to go sit on the panel. Maybe they really are trying to distance themselves from Johnson.

Partygate Tory Shaun Bailey admits he WAS in CCHQ until long after bombshell video was filmed

Shaun Bailey has previously said he had left shortly after the photo was taken to appear on Newsnight.

After we confronted him with evidence that showed he was in the building, he accepted this was "unintentionally inaccurate."

Don't you just hate when you unintentionally inaccurately claim to be working when accidentally you were at a party?

That was a very specific unintentionally inaccurate excuse he gave.

Isn't the usual phrase a "terminological inexactitude" . Especially given it's provenance.
