I'll start.
Splatter cover in the microwave, so all I have to do is pop it in the dishwasher.

As soon as I wake up, I chug some water.

Not looking at the phone first thing in the morning. If I do I get sucked into wasting time, if not I don’t see to use it as much throughout the day.

oh and my trolly bags. I feel like a loser using them but it’s so handy having everything organised!!

Neverinamonthofsundays · 15/06/2023 18:29

Bottle of water and pill dispenser on the bedside locker. I don't forget to take them and more thirsty first thing so helps water intake. The pill dispenser itself saves me time each day cos all of my now 4 needed tablets are ready in their dated little box.

Neverinamonthofsundays · 15/06/2023 18:30

Whiteboard stuck to fridge for grocery shopping reasons. If anyone needs anything it needs to go on the list or they forfeit it that week. I also have a monthly planner stuck there too.

Block toxic people on twitter

Stop watching the news

WonderDays · 15/06/2023 18:36

Ditching caffeine and decaf drinks, goodbye anxiety.

Bassetlover · 15/06/2023 18:40

Get off twitter

stayathomer · 15/06/2023 18:41

Clothes ready the night before (no decision to make in the morning)

Kids’ shoes and coats out the night before (one always loses them otherwise)

Eating an apple before breakfast (tricks my body into thinking it’s a healthy day!)

A box for all hats and gloves

no looking at the phone before bedtime (so difficult to keep to though!)

Nofreshstarthere22 · 15/06/2023 18:42

Stop drinking caffeine, my bladder is happier

Waitingforsummertocome · 15/06/2023 18:43

5 minute back stretching routine in the morning. Feels amazing & sets me up for the day!

Using Alexa drop in to make daily calls to my elderly mum … it took a bit of help to get her comfortable using it but now it’s so reassuring. If she did fall and was unable to get up then she can call me using voice commands. It also means I can talk hands free to her and I can get on with tasks while chatting … she is quite talkative!

Never leave a room empty handed.

Every Saturday morning we have breakfast together and then everyone pitches in on a clean up of the house and their rooms, no-one can or does complain because everyone else is pitching in as well.

Our takeaway night is Thursday, I prepare dinners for the Weekend on this day so I don't have to cook Sat & Sun, usually a one pot type of dinner or Lasange.

I also button up secondary school shirts except the top one before washing and drying, then a quick shake, on the line needs no ironing.

I'm thinking about typing up some instruction sheets for the washer, dryer and dishwasher and blue tacking them to the appliance for my young teenager and pre teen to reference to in my absence.

Goldencup · 15/06/2023 19:20

5 minutes core exercises everyday before my shower. When I stop eating I stop drinking alcohol have herbal tea after dinner.

Kazzyhoward · 15/06/2023 19:24

Walking to/from work

bugaboo218 · 15/06/2023 19:31

Time my morning routine (shower, hair wash, breakfast , teeth, dressed and make up) in twenty minutes.

Get up at the same time every day.

6 complete sets of school uniform for each child. One spare set per child in case of spillages.

Clean pjs laid out on bed in the morning with bath towel and clean flannel/ puff too for bath time at night.

Packed lunches made the night before

Fill water bottles the night before and keep chilled in the fridge or in v hot weather freeze them .

Work bag, DC bags and all outfits laid out the night before.

Bag organiser for each handbag and my work bag with following in:

purse with loose change and £10 in cash, loyalty cards, mints, suncream, lip balm, suncream in summer, wipes, nappy sack, reusable shopping bag ,san pro and cheap sunglasses. Then I just have to remember to put in my card wallet, house keys and car keys for whatever bag I am using.

Swimming kit, PE kit, Ballet kit is washed and put back in various bags ready for next time.

Buy washing powder, loo roll, toothpaste, shower gel, soap and deodorant in bulk - enough for 3-6 months.

Table set for breakfast the night before.

school shirts for teen and DH work shirts sent out to ironing lady.

Both cars filled with petrol on a Sunday for the week ahead.

Cleaner twice a week

Hair cut and colour every eight weeks- I have short hair, so cut needs to be maintained.

Lose weight if you need to. It's made dressing so much easier, now I put on whatever I want without having to dress to hide bits of me. And shopping is super fast and easy now I know that pretty much anything in my new size will fit.

So many years of my life wasted!

ScottBakula · 15/06/2023 19:36

Pre prepare lunch for the week on Sundays. Salad or sandwich for monday then curry / stew / stir-fry ( meat cooked veggies raw microwave for a few mins ) also at least 3 evening meals either just need heating or very quick to cook.
Coffee pot set up the night before do I can just turn it on in the morning

At lease 5 minutes of no screens before bed

Supermarket shopping delivery

Robot vac ( Eufy11s)

Maybe not all tiny changes but certainly worth while for me

TomatoSandwiches · 15/06/2023 19:41

I have a few shower gems in the bathroom, one shelf is for a Scrub daddy wand filled with half fairy liquid half white vinegar, I can just give the tiles and screen a quick Scrub and rinse when I have time.
I also have a flash mop holder on the door and wipes in a draw so I don't have to keep going up and down stairs to hunt for cleaning supplies/equipment when I remember.

I have ADHD, very forgetful if things are not easily seen!

This so resonates with me . To be able to pull anything out my wardrobe knowing it'll look good and then not searching for a bum / tum coverup

PorkPieForStarters · 15/06/2023 19:54

I have a hoover that lives upstairs, one that lives downstairs and a little hand one to do the stairs/little jobs. All got cheap from facebook marketplace.

I hate hoovering so anything I can do to make it less effort is worth it to me!

JollyJellyCat · 15/06/2023 20:00

I throw away pens that don't work and i have a big pot of pens that do work.

Every evening I put all the pens away again.

One day I may need to buy more pens. Maybe around 2030. We kept buying because we could never find any. Problem solved!

Biffsboys · 15/06/2023 20:01

If a job will take less than 5 minutes do it there and then .
