What has the handyman done with my nightdress?!

I can't find my nightie anywhere! Had a handyman round this morning just to address a couple of patches of damp, one of them being in my bedroom, on the wall close to the en suite.

I hang my nightie and dressing gown on the back of the en suite door every morning, and on the other side of the door I have an old evening dress that belonged to my dm.

I was rushing out this morning and didn't think about moving the clothes off the door. Came back earlier to find he's moved my dressing gown and my dm's dress over to the hooks on the bedroom door. But there's no sign of my nightie.

Im not suggesting for a minute anything dodgy has gone on but - where is it?! Did I, without thinking, put it somewhere? If so, I still can't find it!

I have a friend who (reluctantly and unexpectedly) put up for the night her husband’s male friend who said he had an early start but wouldnt disturb them and didn’t. Later that day when she went to strip the bed the fitted bottom sheet was missing - and is to this day.

If you find your nightie please let us know ?!

Years and years ago, like 30 odd when I was a teenager, I remember watching some kind of complaints programme/ watchdog type TV. A woman had secretly filmed her workman going through her laundry basket and sniffing her used underwear. I was absolutely horrified as I'd never been exposed to men's depravity. I've never forgotten that clip. Now, however, it's the first thing I thought of and I'd bet my life this guys a sniffer.

I think I saw that too, it was a Roger Cook show, with secret cameras to catch out cowboy builders.
They had footage of the fake housewife ironing in the living room, whilst some gross man watched her through the kitchen serving hatch, having a wank.

It has a split in it. He has taken it home to mend. Hopefully it won't have any residue on it when it is returned. Polyfilla. And all that jazz. Or is it jizz?

It's not inside my dressing gown or in its pocket. I have a divan bed (if that's what you call beds with drawers under them) so there is no under the bed. It's not in the dirty laundry basket or the washing machine.

Perhaps he was clearing up from whatever DIY he was doing and used it to clean with then though "shit!! I have to take it now" and smuggled it out.

Another vote for still wearing it. Maybe connected to my planning this evening to pop a wash on right before I got in the shower, so the gym gear I was wearing will be clean for use again tomorrow.

Put the wash on, went to the bathroom and realised I was still wearing said gym gear 🤦🏻‍♀️

I can confirm that I'm not still wearing it. But that's totally the sort of thing I might do. I went to work once perfectly attired. Only problem was I went to the wrong work ...
