The thing with the Starmer and Johnson investigation and that Johnson received a FPN - is that it was a whole year apart and different rules.

It's like comparing apples and oranges.

Unfortunately for some people the concept of the passage of time is just too mind-blowing for comprehension.

itsgettingweird · 14/06/2023 17:07

And yet even with the passage of time they still aren't able to answer simple questions.

Isn't the mantra we are supposed to move on ?

Or that repeatedly noting they haven't answered the question is "bullying" ?

Rhondaa · 14/06/2023 17:11

It's funny for the amount of time you all say to ignore me <as you clearly struggle to take me on> or to ignore Clav's inconvenient links with evidence you really cannot get past a few hours without mentioning us. Would anyone like a signed photo to pop on your fridge? 😘

'Unfortunately for some people the concept of the passage of time is just too mind-blowing for comprehension.'

Passage of time I do comprehend thanks. However the rules for Sir Korma's buffet were the same, no unnecessary buffets allowed. Work related fine but as I seem to have to keep on saying it cannot be work related in one county and an illegal debauched 'party' in another.

Hoppinggreen · 14/06/2023 17:12

jgw1 · 14/06/2023 14:42

Look the report says there was no conga or dancing so it wasnt a party.
Why can't we move on and talk about all of Boris' successes?

Cos there aren’t any?

Rhondaa · 14/06/2023 17:13

'But the SOP - from the Goebbels playbook - is to derail debate by switching to a distraction.'

Goebbels. Wtaf. What have Nazis got to do with this. It's a pretty disgusting false equivalence, no?

And again you reference Starmer.
The thread is about the lying cockwomble Johnson

Rhondaa · 14/06/2023 17:15

'And again you reference Starmer.'

Your pals keep referencing him, I'm responding to their comments.

Rhondaa · 14/06/2023 17:16

'The thread is about the lying cockwomble Johnson'

Would you not say it is also being a lying cockwomble to say you had 6 at your buffet when you had 16?

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.”

Hoppinggreen · 14/06/2023 17:12

There are many successes.

For instance he knows what a woman is and as a result what to do with them.

DuncinToffee · 14/06/2023 17:24

@Janiie

Let's do this again:

Durham police investigated, and found no laws broken.

A subsequent review of that investigation found: no laws broken.

Legal experts reviewed that review: no laws broken.

4 independent legal opinions were sought: no laws broken.

7 legal inquiries, and each of them found no laws had been broken.

SerendipityJane · 14/06/2023 17:28

Rumpelstiltskin ?

Hoppinggreen · 14/06/2023 17:29

'The thread is about the lying cockwomble Johnson'

Would you not say it is also being a lying cockwomble to say you had 6 at your buffet when you had 16?

I repeat, this thread is about Johnson.
Whether I think anyone else is or isn’t a lying cockwomble is irrelevant

heartsinvisiblefury · 14/06/2023 17:33

Would I like a signed photo of Janiie for my fridge? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

A degree of self importance similar to that of Boris. How quaint.

And also the inability to answer direct questions.

You seem to mention me an awful lot. I know I'm interesting and quick witted but this thread is about Bozo, not me.

The heat is going out of the day, thankfully. I hope folks have a relaxing evening planned.

IClaudine · 14/06/2023 17:56

Janiie, you seem to be struggling to keep up with what this thread is mainly about. The issue Johnson has resigned over is not whether there were parties - that is not in question. We all know there were. The issue the committee were tasked to look at was whether Johnson lied to parliament.

Looking forward to seeing the report tomorrow.

I bet there is not much relaxing going on in the Johnson household tonight!

Indeed

I was going to post this for Clavinova and Janiie

The committee were not judging whether he broke the rules

They were looking at whether he lied to parliament.

will keep it handy

To remind them:

Engagements - Hansard - UK Parliament

KS:As millions of people were locked down last year, was a Christmas party thrown in Downing Street for dozens of people on 18 December?

BJ: What I can tell the right hon. and learned Gentleman is that all guidance was followed completely in No. 10.

And from the week after:

I repeat that I have been repeatedly assured since these allegations emerged that there was no party and that no covid rules were broken. That is what I have been repeatedly assured. But I have asked the Cabinet Secretary to establish all the facts and to report back as soon as possible. It goes without saying that if those rules were broken, there will be disciplinary action for all those involved.

Points of Order - Hansard - UK Parliament

Ian Blackford
(Ross, Skye and Lochaber) (SNP)
On a point of order, Mr Speaker. I have informed the Prime Minister that I would be making a point of order, but I was informed by those on the Government Front Bench that he had to go. My goodness, those of us on the opposite side of the House absolutely agree that he has to go—he has to go as Prime Minister. People throughout these islands have been watching this debate today, and people feel revulsion at the stories that have emerged, in particular the video last night. What is worse is that there are now authoritative reports of not just one, not just two, but three different Downing Street parties during lockdown last Christmas, including one in the Prime Minister’s flat. What do we on this side of the House have to do to make sure that the Prime Minister takes responsibility for his breach of trust and the breach of covid regulations and that he does the right thing on behalf of all the people of these islands and resigns, and resigns now?

The question is - was he repeatedly assured?

Keep telling a big enough lie and people will begin to believe it.

That's one of theirs as well.

It's not calling them Nazis. It's just a tactic that the Nazis used.

On the subject of Johnson @Janiie why was it acceptable in your view for him to attend illegal parties, but not millions of children, or should parents have ignored the advice of the Prime Minister and had parties?
