Do you pay for Spotify?

I recently found Spotify. I knew what it was for a long time but I wasn't interested. I joined and paid for a monthly subscription. I love it. I can find music I love and I am discovering more too.

The idea of paying a monthly subscription doesn't really appeal to me though.

My partner says he uses it but he doesn't pay..

What's that all about?

Will he be allowed to listen to while albums or fast forward songs or shuffle?
Where as I have more control over albums.

I don't know what the difference is.

I used to be on iTunes and I had a huge collection built on my iPod. Then I got locked out of my iPod and lost so much of my music. I was so so so sore after that.

I dont usually pay for it.
Only when they have a 3 months for the price of 1 offer. Then cancel, and only subscribe once it pops up again (usually after about 3/4 months)
The Spotify free version is fine. Some ads, only 6 skips per hour, and, on your phone, you can only listen on shuffle.
But if you have it on a laptop, you can do whatever you want.

How does that work?

There's no perks of having an android phone that mean you get Spotify free.
If that was the case everyone would it from free and Spotify wouldn't make any money.

I have it happily, we are a family of music lovers so all slots are used. And I listen to the audiobooks too so cancelled my audible which was £7.99 a month.
