And obviously the Met police got it wrong, or they're biased against poor Boris, despite Bas Javid being a bigwig in the Met.

And also the Durham police were biased in favour of Keir Starmer.

And no matter what comes out or what anyone says, Boris is as pure as the driven snow.

Oh pointy well done, I knew you'd see sense at some point.

Not pure as the driven snow though, he really should have known the gold wallpaper was never going to go down well, he shouldn't have trusted Cummings and he shouldn’t have let civil servants run amok.

You lazy buggers. Surely you could at least manage the odd vol au vent?

That tactic is getting a tad dull.

..and according to Tory supporters on the Covid Lockdown thread, he fcuked LD up as well.

Thank God Sunak disagreed with LD whilst handing out 10s of billions to fraudulent businesses.

IClaudine · 11/06/2023 17:40

That was meant to be in response to Janiie.

Boris is a well known liar.
Do all of his fans have a limited grasp of truth and evidence as well?

There is some evidence of that on this thread certainly.

Good. Lying, self serving, scrounging pillock.🙄

To be fair during lock down one I was WFH trying to project manage the maintaining of those services we could maintain in the community, with an average work day of 10 hours with 14 hours not unusual.

The only reason I got anything to eat was that I had my DC home from uni so they could cook for me.

BunnyBettChetwynnd · 11/06/2023 17:59

@pointythings I can't thank you and your colleagues enough for all you did for us.

The sacrifices that ordinary people made whilst those in charge partied, broke the rules and snogged their mistresses in the office will never be fully understood.

IClaudine · 11/06/2023 18:02

@pointythings you are the people who should be getting honours, not Michael effing Fabricant.

pointythings · 11/06/2023 18:02

@BunnyBettChetwynnd it was the clinicians who really did all the hard work, but it's nice to see some appreciation for us project-and-admin bods in the background who make all that hard work happen - thank you!

The huge positive that came out of it was a really deep understanding both ways - the clinical staff really got what we did, we really got what they did. That is still benefiting us today.

I'd give it a whirl if I wasn't gluten free 🤣🤣

My role is specialist and very feast or famine in terms of busyness.

I don't get lunch some days until gone 2pm. I quite like the idea of snacks on the run 😁

No no I have a grasp of truth and evidence thanks. Lack of evidence in the case of Bozo is the problem you see. If you have a vocal critics like Harman chairing committees and 'impartial' civil servants like Grey doing reports against him then ending up as chief bottle washer at Labour HQ one does become skeptical.

Can you imagine the outage if an, ahem, impartial civil servant had rattled off a report against Sir Korma and then got a job as Bozo's secretary! You'd have been banging away on the keyboard saying party party party til the cows came home.

Would you like us to remind you of the political alliances of the Privileges Committee or what Johnson said in praise of Sue Gray?

You are of course correct that there is a lack of evidence on a number of points about Johnson.
for example:
a) why he had to have a birthday party whilst it was illegal for children to do the same.
b) if he has ever told the truth
c) if he has ever successfully managed a project of any kind.

Notonthestairs · 11/06/2023 18:24

Hartman was selected to lead the Privileges Committee by MPs.
The Privileges Committee has a Conservative majority.
The Privileges Committee was directed by Parliament to conduct an investigation and the Conservatives have the majority of members in the House of Commons.
Sue Grey was selected by Johnson and when her report was published Johnson claimed it exonerated him.

Notonthestairs · 11/06/2023 18:24

Harman not Hartman!

When you say lack of evidence I'm reminded of the 'not one party snap' point you made earlier.

Have you seen the party snaps posted earlier on this thread?

The evidence exists... you just don't see it.

heartsinvisiblefury · 11/06/2023 18:33

@Janiie so if there is no evidence of the liar lying, as you believe, why has he resigned? Why doesn't he fight to clear his name?

Rhondaa · 11/06/2023 18:37

'Have you seen the party snaps posted earlier on this thread?'

They weren't parties! I've yet to see snaps of folk dancing, clips of loud music and rowdy/ raucous behaviour y'know stuff that actually constitutes a party. Standing in a room proposing a toast to someone leaving is not a party, ditto eating an egg and cress sarnie in a meeting room. I feel sorry for your social lives if these are the type of 'parties' you attend.

He's said in his statement hasn't he. Google it it'll be there readily available to read.

I'm glad you are now in agreement with the rest of the sane world that Johnson's behaviour during lockdown was illegal.

Do you find it cringeworthy that a Prime Minister can introduce laws and then moments later break them without a care in the world?
