Full moon and kids behaviour

Call me mad
But

Two days before every single fulll moon my child's behaviour is out of control
Tantrums
Not wanting to get dressed

Lying on floor

Anyone else ever notice this
Two days before the full moon?

Been tracking it now for around 14 months 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes. Op, its been well researched.
In Sri Lanka alcohol is not sold on a full moon and people wear white and go to the temple.
People can be more emotional and accident prone.

thisisasurvivor · 01/06/2023 21:49

This is two days before
Every single month at least for the last 14 months
Possibly longer

I screamed so hard earlier
9.30pm refusing to get off the kitchen floor and go to bed

Aghhhhh
Screaming def doesn't help
😢😢😢😢😢

This is definitely "a thing". My mum works in a care home, many residents have dementia and she says in the couple of days before a full moon, her residents' behaviour changes.

Cosycover · 01/06/2023 21:52

This sounds so interesting. I feel like I may be about to go down a Google rabbit hole.

pookiedoodlepuppy · 01/06/2023 21:52

My puppy has been pretty whiney today if that helps , acting a bit like a three year old . Every time she was sent to bed she kept getting up again 🤦🏻‍♀️.

voxnihili · 01/06/2023 21:53

I work in a school for kids with challenging behaviour. It’s definitely a thing 😆

thisisasurvivor · 01/06/2023 21:53

Couple of days before

So not necessarily the day of the full moon

Gosh some of the flights today

Just going to have to re think some of the activities we do two days before the full moon

Yikes !!!

And some kids maybe more than others?

They are wise to it @gogohmm !
There is a build up from a few days before peak full moon....sort of like being pre menstrual..
Some moons are more affecting than others.

Plump82 · 01/06/2023 21:53

My mum worked in a school and could always tell when it was a full moon due to the behaviour of the kids.

I work in early years education and we are all aware of the cycles of the moon! It's totally a thing

bagforlifeamnesty · 01/06/2023 21:55

Does this explain why my youngest had an absolute cob on her all day for no apparent reason?!

Tonkerbea · 01/06/2023 21:57

This is so interesting, I often feel a restlessness before a full moon

Decafflatteplease · 01/06/2023 21:57

It's absolutely a thing! I have a love hate relationship with full moons 😂 so beautiful but my Sen child struggles even more than usual 😞

HollyGolightly4 · 01/06/2023 21:58

High school teacher here for over ten years (mainstream)

100% can tell when it's a full moon.

CarolDunne · 01/06/2023 21:59

I work in a call centre 2-3 days before the full.moon brings out all the loons

We are all aware of moon cycles

I used to be an EYFS teacher and yep I could track the moon cycle with pin point accuracy!

It's definitely a thing!

MicrowaveRice · 01/06/2023 22:01

Ask any teacher or TA!😂 if it's windy at the same time ... OMG.

thisisasurvivor · 01/06/2023 22:01

@SeeingSpots like all kids
A handful?

Gosh this is every single month

Today it put me over the edge

Yep windy and a full moon is the worst for impacting my autistic DDs mood

QueSyrahSyrah · 01/06/2023 22:03

It's definitely a thing, no matter how much some people try to claim otherwise.

I used to work in a busy city bar and we could always tell it was a full moon without looking outside, by the behaviour of the patrons.
