Grooming has been mentioned previously, as he first met MM when he was only 14 and it appears there was an attraction, and they were often posting on each others twitter. Then PS got him a job as an assistant on this TM.

KatyKopykat · 27/05/2023 00:25

I'm not suggesting he didn't. What I am saying is McCall showed appalling double standards.

Ah, well I agree with you there.

Needs to be clean sweep at itv. People are sick of the same old simpering faces, inane prattle and Tory level hypocrisy.

Whatt · 27/05/2023 01:14

There's a video on YouTube of them on a date. The boy looks young.

I suppose people ie PS can say he wasn't attracted to MM until he turned 18 but if he met MM when he was 14, then got him a job on his tv shows, its pretty safe to say he was attracted to the boy. Someone attracted to a 14 year old is someone who is attracted to children.......

There has to be more to this. His agency dropped him because they know this. I'm more interested in why the story is leaking in dribs and drabs. Presumably those talking are being threatened with legal action? Journalists often write a seemingly innocent story when they can't yet publish the full story. In this day and age, papers don't 'hold back news' because another outlet will run with it online.

Schofield has always given me the utter creeps. Even as a kid of thought he was weird, he always seemed super fake. None of this is any kind of a surprise and of course the “affair” is general knowledge. Lying creep.

Dazedandbemused0 · 27/05/2023 03:24

Sorry but WHY is his love life anyone’s business except his own?! This is bizarre. Why on earth does he need to tell anyone? Nobody owes anyone their personal life! We are all entitled to privacy.

GuitarsUnderTheStars · 27/05/2023 03:35

@Dazedandbemused0 🙄

Grooming children and using your position of power inappropriately is everyone’s business. Lying to cover those things up is everyone’s business.

Creepy af for anyone to think those things are ok. Quite a few on this thread happy to out themselves.

I'm confused, is there still an injunction stopping reporting on the boy's age? They seem to just be hinting its only an affair

Oh right, so everyone should just leave him alone?

Noone is ENTITLED to groom a child.

The reason he's announced it is because it's evident he's an absolute creep and the only "love life" he should ever be entitled to is behind bars being another inmates bitch.

Rainbowsandfairies · 27/05/2023 04:46

Grooming young boys is indeed everyone 's business. PS is in big trouble- it'll all come out in the wash.
what a horrible human beinghe is.

Grumpusaurus · 27/05/2023 04:54

Prince Andrew has been condemned for his conduct yet Schofield got patted on the leg and told he was brave. Go figure!

Oh I've just clicked the link and there's clearly much more to come. The DM have the thumbscrews on him and have forced this "confession" from him when he tried to deny it.

It's a sad state of affairs when we have to rely on the Mail to winkle out the perverts from light entertainment. Have senior television management learned nothing from Savile and Harris?

I think the problem is that ‘senior television management’ contains a high percentage of nonces and they are all covering for one another.

I don't think that's true. The boy his brother abused was know to his brother independently of PS. Unless I've missed something

Gettingbysomehow · 27/05/2023 05:44

People in TV do this to young women all the time and nobody turns a hair.

I once thought that. I have revised my view to psychopaths covering up for each other.

Generally most women are not into grooming themselves. If a woman was a psychopath she would be detached and not care that another psychopath with an interest in teem boys.

GoodChat · 27/05/2023 06:24

Is lying to the Daily Mail about your personal life such a terrible thing?

No, but lying to your lawyer and your PR firm says everything.

Agree 100%. No-one knows any real detail apart from ‘he has an affair with a consenting adult’ and he has lost his career over it. I’m not saying he has behaved well - he hasn’t- but the double standards stinks of old-fashioned gay bashing.

if other significant information comes out, then that could be a different story. But I’m not counting on it happening.

123rainbow · 27/05/2023 06:27

I don't think there is any way back for Phil, his career is over just like Prince Andrew. That's karma, especially when he wasn't nice to his colleagues. I think they should also get rid of Holly, she is rubbish and fake. I think there is more to this story and more bombshells to come.

Making individuals or groups a sacred caste is a safeguarding risk.

Prince Andrew, the Royal family or Philip Schofiled and 🌈 people should not be a sacred caste, it's concerning that you suggest they should be!

No, I’m suggesting they should be treated the same as anyone else in the same situation.

your post is disgustingly homophonic.

Safeguarding makes someone a phobe? Treating Phillip the same as Prince Andrew is wrong?

Are you ok?

Then they shouldn’t. Anyone, no matter their gender or sexuality, should be subject to abuse (even if it’s just an abuse of power). We shouldn’t sit back and say ‘Oh this happens all the time so whatever’. If this highlights issues within the industry then I happily welcome it.

thedancingbear · 27/05/2023 06:41

No, I’m suggesting that gay people should be treated the same as straight people in the same circumstances.

you are suggesting that gay people are a ‘sacred caste’ that can get away with stuff. When the truth is that they have been horribly persecuted for decades
