Holly was right next to Phillip and ITV management promoting Butterfly and Mermaids.

I do think there is more going on and I think Simon Schofield is involved as well.

Philip and Simon met back when they both did theatre productions, when Simon was 12 and Philip was 34; When asked in 2020, Philip said that he and Simon had been best of friends for 20 years. 20 years pre 2020 would have been when Simon as 16 and Phil was 38. There have been a multitude of pictures of them together over the yeas and they have remained close friends. Simon and the show runner also spent a lot of time together and there are many pictures of the three of them together. When Philip came out, many assumed Simon was his boyfriend given all the picture of them together and the close relationship. Philip denied tis and insisted they were only close friends. Simon got engaged to his girlfriend in 2019 but she seems to have been scrubbed from his social media so who knows.
