And yet the protestors are the same, using all the modern tech ect.

Seems they are all in the same boat

Yep. But you're not suppose to notice that bit.

Oh sorry, I didn't realise that you lacked the basic skills to go and find out if this information is already available, which of course to a large degree it will be.

It isn't available, and AFAIK it hasn't ever been done - certainly not for Chelsea, and AFAIK not for any major RHS event, let alone including supply chains and travel to venue (which are not even a part of the RHS strategy)

Also the RHS strategy covers all RHS activity - nothing specific about shows let alone one specific show.

Did anyone see the old man roughly manhandled off the Wimbledon court yesterday? It was really uncomfortable to watch. I think he was a Just Stop Oil protester and, while I don't agree with their actions AT ALL, I do have some sympathy for the cause.

Anyway, the man was old and frail and was dragged very roughly off the court by two Wimbledon men in suits. Horrible.

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2023 13:50

Good enough for him

DerekFaker · 06/07/2023 13:57

He didn't look that old. And if he is frail, he should do a risk assessment before embarking on activities that are likely to result in him being handled by security guards.

No. Not good enough for Wimbledon, which I think is the point I was trying to explore. I expect more respect for the individual from them.

And? He shouldn't have been there. No sympathy for him whatsoever.

I'm waiting to see if they pull one of their stupid stunts at the Headingly test. Hopefully Jonny Bairstow is ready if they do!

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2023 14:13

@Toohotforchips he could have had a knife and was going to attack a player for all they knew. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

Did you even look beyond the balding head of white hair and make your own assumptions that he must be a defenceless little old man? The musculature on his calves and tan meant this was an extremely fit and active man - cycling, running or long-distance walking.

GoodQuestion01 · 06/07/2023 16:27

He was running and jumping about as fit as a fiddle. I don’t think he was ‘elderly.’ However I do think he could be escorted out respectfully as he would have been unlikely to put up a fight.

According to the press he's 66

He doesn’t deserve any respect at all.

they were probably concerned he was about to glue himself to the court so wanted him off asap. I wouldn’t care if they dragged him out by his ankles and gave him a black eye on the way. Twats the lot of them.
