How many subscriptions do you have.

My monthly subscriptions to services/products seem to be increasing and I’m going to try and cut down. What current subscriptions to you have?

I have Netflix, Paramount +, Amazon Prime, Dermatica, Tinder, Google storage and Spotify. Tinder is getting deleted today as that’s a big waste of money, and I think Netflix will be going too as I can never find anything decent to watch.

None

Assignedtoworryyourmother · 21/05/2023 13:06

Netflix and Prime. I have prime because I have a Sonos and apparently I have to. I have Netflix because I have a teenager and apparently I have to.

bluesky45 · 21/05/2023 13:08

We have sky (TV and broadband), prime, Disney+ (hate that we have 3 TV options but we do use all 3)
We also have apple music on a family account. I have a subscription to skin+me, although I only have it delivered once every 8 weeks rather than 4 as I don't use it every day. I think that's it though.

Thebigblueballoon · 21/05/2023 13:08

Netflix, Prime, Audiobooks, a couple of newspapers. We sometimes do food subscriptions, but have stopped due to the mixed quality.

CrunchyCarrot · 21/05/2023 13:10

Prime only out of that list. I do subscribe to several YouTube channels, though.

Thebigblueballoon · 21/05/2023 13:13

I forgot. I also have YouTube Premium because I watch a lot of YouTube. It’s totally worth it!
I think I do have too many subscriptions though. 🙄

InBeautifulKindWays · 21/05/2023 13:13

Netflix, Amazon Prime and music, Now, Disney+, Paramount, Apple TV, Duolingo, Peak brain training, a vegan food box thing but can’t remember their name, kindle unlimited, audible, a couple of gaming things for my partner/kids. Probably more. 😅

mynewusername2023 · 21/05/2023 13:16

Prime, YouTube premium, Spotify (but it's free with my phone contract), Google storage (£1.59 a month), Netflix, audible, sometimes ancestry and a couple of yearly ones - a meditation/sound app and a paint by numbers app on my tablet.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 21/05/2023 13:17

spotify
hay u
apple / google storage

CharlotteStreetW1 · 21/05/2023 13:17

Amazon and Netflix.

I have access to a friend's Disney+ account but my not-that-old TV doesn't support it 🙄

Three subscriptions to physical magazines which I'm about to take into the garden to read...

Madcats · 21/05/2023 13:18

We have Prime because we are forever buying stuff and are about to ditch Apple because we're just watching Ted Lasso. We'll get it again to watch the next lot of Slow Horses in due course.

I spend 10 minutes a month declining Hello Fresh and Freddies Flowers deliveries.

I pay Apple <£1/month for a few GB of Cloud storage.

Otherwise NT and Eng Heritage.

ModerationInEverything · 21/05/2023 13:18

Netflix, prime, audible, Spotify, ms game pass and live. BBC good food.

ModerationInEverything · 21/05/2023 13:18

Oh national trust and Merlin passes.

JuneShitfield · 21/05/2023 13:21

Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+ and ITVX (currently on a freebie). I pay for a TV licence which is sort of a similar thing.

Then Spotify, Headspace, Avatar Nutrition (like MyFitnessPal but way better) and Planta, which tells me when my houseplants need watering.

KnittedCardi · 21/05/2023 13:27

As a family, so some shared, we have Netflix, Amazon, Now, Disney, Spotify and The Telegraph. Eeek.. Quite a lot. We "only" have Freeview, though, but also super fast broadband.

BodegaSushi · 21/05/2023 13:30

1- Netflix (but will delete if they bring in password sharing)

2- Prime (more for deliveries than content)

3- Hayu (love reality TV and it's cheap)

4- google photos (for storage)

5- apple iCloud storage

For music and other streaming sites I do it the 'old fashioned' (early 2000s-style) way Blush

I think the market is over-saturated with streaming apps, they can't possibly expect us to pay for every single one to watch one show we're interested in 💁🏽‍♀️

BodegaSushi · 21/05/2023 13:31

Oh and forgot to add, I watch the crime channel (cbs reality) on freeview more than anything else

Decafflatteplease · 21/05/2023 13:34

Prime, absolutely worth it for the quick delivery.

Netflix, Disney, paramount.

A gardening / seed subscription box. Meant to be for the kids but who am I kidding it's for me really 😂

Simply cook boxes

Contact lenses if they count! They come in the post.

Debating kindle unlimited... is it worth it?

ae1ou · 21/05/2023 13:35

Bt sport inc discovery with sport for the snooker
Sky inc sport
PDC tv for the darts
YouTube mainly for darts
Prime for the tennis (and deliveries )

Decafflatteplease · 21/05/2023 13:35

Oh and national trust, and 2 local nature reserves. Debating getting RSPB aswell, mainly for the magazine 😂

TheApplianceofScience · 21/05/2023 13:46

Netflix - we don’t use it but DS does so that is OK.

Amazon prime- well used so again ok.

Sky - ok

Spotify - ok

MS games pass for DS - well used.

Tesco anytime for food well used, since they upped the basket price I book a delivery and a click and collect and then generally dump the click and collect twenty four hours before hand.

AVG phone protection.

Telegraph £2.99 a month well used by DH and I. I used to get the Saturday Telegraph for all the supplements but I kept running out of time to read it, so I now do it for a few weeks before a holiday and use it as holiday reading along with books.

DH has a quarterly wine delivery.

So nothing we can’t justify.

TheApplianceofScience · 21/05/2023 13:47

BT sport for the rugby.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 21/05/2023 13:49

Oh and Brit box but me and my sister shared the yearly cost- Disney I use my brother inlaws, Netflix use my husbands friends. Amazon use my friends :)
