We don't have one in Northern Ireland! Schools break up end of June!

ItsCalledAConversation · 19/05/2023 16:45

Two bookend weekends away (one to camp on a British island, one to visit family friends on the other side of the country in their beach house). Few days at home pottering about, bbqing and gardening in between. DCs will love it. You?

TiredOfCleaning · 19/05/2023 16:46

Nothing. Trying to save AL for the summer holidays. But we might get a weekend bowling and lunch cinema trip in.

Working...ds in a mix of grandparents and holiday club

Needingacoffee · 19/05/2023 18:33

Nothing planned this year. We tend to go away on holiday for a week, but not this time. It's just too expensive. It will be odd, because we've always been away in May Half Term for many years.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 19/05/2023 18:57

DH has the week off with DD, I'm working. He's planning to take her to the next city on the train to see a couple of attractions, bus into town to the museum, picnic at one of the big parks and there will be at least one day of just hanging around the house doing craft/garden stuff while I try to ignore them and the noise so I can work. I may go into the office so they don't have to tiptoe round me.

ThePersistenceOfMammories · 19/05/2023 19:00

Dd2’s birthday is the day they break up. We’ll spend the weekend celebrating, then using the weeks break as an opportunity to all muck in and sort out the garden ready for summer. It’s a bit of a state at the moment so will probably take the whole week

OldTinHat · 19/05/2023 19:02

Going to Liverpool with some friends - can't wait after lots of great suggestions of places to visit from you lot! 🥰

bumblefeline · 19/05/2023 19:03

Working and dd will be cramming in GCSE revision, roll on July!

confusedofengland · 19/05/2023 19:08

Visiting FIL for the bank holiday weekend. Then meeting friends on 2-3 other days. Then theme park on 1 or 2 days (we have passes).

Also trying to pack as all of us are going away (separately) after it! And trying to sell lots of things on Vinted for spending money 🤣

fussychica · 19/05/2023 19:48

DS who is a teacher is coming to spend a few days with us. Hoping his lovely partner who is a nurse might come too. Looking forward to it.
We're off to Amsterdam for two days next week first, to see the Vermeer exhibition for our wedding anniversary. Exciting!

BaconAndAvocado · 19/05/2023 20:02

Just a relaxing week. Dog walks, coffees out with friends and DD.
In the middle of GCSEs here so (hopefully) DS2 will be revising as well as having a bit of down time.
DH away golfing from the Tuesday for 4 nights. Looking forward to some good night’s sleep with no snoring!

tinytemper66 · 19/05/2023 20:03

London for a few days. Afternoon tea and a river cruise on Thames given as a present by our son.

Love London.

TedLasto · 19/05/2023 20:04

Cornwall. Camping. We’ve been the last few years and been very lucky with the weather so I’m hoping it picks up a bit quick smart.

APurpleSquirrel · 19/05/2023 20:07

Isle of Wight for the week

twinkletoesimnot · 19/05/2023 20:09

Taking my pet cows to Suffolk show

Missingpate · 19/05/2023 20:11

Sorrento for the week. Long awaited holiday that kept getting pushed back with the pandemic. The weather has been bad there across May but is finally cheering up, so keeping everything crossed we will have some sunshine 🤞 Can’t wait!

Orangeapple456 · 19/05/2023 21:07

may half term is usually nice weather-wise.

A levels. So daughter revising and not going anywhere.

whoruntheworldgirls · 19/05/2023 22:56

Going to Lanzarote all inclusive. Didn't do anything at Easter so looking forward to a week of relaxing. Our daughter is counting down the days! She's only 6.

pizzaHeart · 19/05/2023 22:57

I haven’t plan anything, just wasn’t sure as we’re doing some work at home and there were other issues. Now I’m not sure should I try to go away for a few days or is it too late… I initially wanted us to go to Northumbria for a couple of nights.

FrownedUpon · 19/05/2023 22:58

Week away in Cornwall. Can’t wait.
