What’s everyone doing over may half term?

Nothing. We are prisoners of A levels, although even if we weren't, we'd struggle to afford to go away now, although we have habitually been away for May half term. Will take DS2 out for a day or two.

LunaNorth · 19/05/2023 23:04

Off to Deià in Mallorca. Very much looking forward to it.

Mindovermatter247 · 19/05/2023 23:12

Going on holiday to Great Yarmouth, we go in may because it seems to be less busy than July which is easier for ds15 to cope with. He has asd and does not like crowds

Nothing thank god especially as weather is meant to be crap everywhere.

DC both doing exams so stuck being positive and supportive

Smarshian · 20/05/2023 07:33

Off to Bournemouth for a week - can’t wait!

Hoppymclimpy · 20/05/2023 08:06

Haven caravan site in Dorset for the week. Very excited! This is our (mine and DC 12) main/only holiday and I've been paying it off for the last year. They are bringing their best mate so I'm hoping for a relaxing, sun filled week. I keep getting weather updates via the child and its looking like low 20s which is great 👍
We went last year, loved it so I booked straight away, got a good discount but with CofL crisis it's been tough so I'm really hoping the weather holds. Got to say, the caravans are surprisingly posh....we've gone for a bronze and whilst it's self catering we do have snacks stuff and I've bulk cooked some meals and frozen them to travel down with to keep costs down x

Nothing planned as yet, but will probably go to a theme park or two (pass holders) and I will make a start on writing my annual reports 🙄

Radiatorvalves · 20/05/2023 08:08

Revising (A levels snd GCSEs) and working (me). Roll on the summer!

Whoknowswhatanymore · 20/05/2023 08:11

London to see Frozen musical. Camping for a few days…and seriously hoping the weather improves! 🙈

TravellingSpoon · 20/05/2023 08:26

I'm working, and the DC are spending a week with their dad, so they will probably do nothing too 😢

declutteringmymind · 20/05/2023 08:29

Me and DH are splitting the working week for childcare.

A bit of exam work in the AM for them and some afternoons and a day out on the Saturday.

Kathyshome · 20/05/2023 08:36

We are going to San Francisco , so excited!

Weather is looking good in most places for half term. I might just have to plan some days out

Stressedgiraffe · 20/05/2023 15:08

CalloohCallayFrabjousDay · 20/05/2023 23:05

Working.

Simonjt · 20/05/2023 23:10

We were meant to be going on holiday, but my husband is still recovering from having a skingraft on his foot, so we’re not sure if we’ll be able to go. If we can’t we’ll have a nice quite week at home.

QueenofLouisiana · 21/05/2023 06:52

A levels and DS’s 18th. He’s struggling to accept that the first are finally here and I feel the same way about the second!

LemonDrizzle10 · 21/05/2023 06:52

If my chemo goes ahead as planned this coming Fri I’m hoping to book a couple of nights away in Suffolk for DD, me and the dogs. Close to friends and a hospital just incase! DD is going to a gymkana morning one day too.
Hope it’s sunny.
