We’re getting the train to the south of France.

In Northern Ireland? I know English schools are off.

Staying at home. Was going to book a last minute holiday but the weather looked better or as good here and could do with saving the money.

CornishGem1975 · 25/05/2023 07:39

Working.

Having a lie in every day 😀. It's been a crap month, and I'm looking forward to relaxing.

No children to look after as they are quite big now, so I am looking forward to pottering in the garden, going geocaching, and just relaxing.

In reality, it's only 4 days on my own as it's a bank holiday, so dh will be home, and I've got 24 reports to write before my preschool closes in early June. I can see it slipping away already bit if the weather plays ball I can do a lot of it sat in the garden watching the guinea pigs enjoying being outside.

DD is in the middle of GCSEs.

We will do two day trips to get her away from her books but otherwise she will catch up on sleep and do some more revision.

Pinchaperfect · 25/05/2023 09:09

My two older kids 15 and 17 will be out with friends/working/running club/at their dads for some of it. 17 year old revising for y12 exams too.

Other than that, probably swimming, the park and bike rides with the two younger ones 8y and 12y. The older two will come swimming and on bike ride too. Oh and a friend is lending me her tent so we can camp in the back garden.. Finding out my treatment plan on Wednesday ( breast cancer has come back, and has spread to my liver)

A few beach days, a park & picnic day, a trip out to The Lakes. Pop round to my mum & dads house. Pottering in the house & garden in between.

Fedupofdiets · 25/05/2023 09:26

Ds is doing A-levels so will be studying. Usually I'd be at work but I'm on bereavement leave having just lost my Dad. Mum is taking two of my young nephews to their caravan in Wales so I'm going tag along to help on Aunty duties and spend some time with Mum. Weather looks great so going to take a book and just try and relax a bit after a horrid few weeks.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 25/05/2023 09:26

Taking teen DD for a weekend in Cornwall, it's been a tough time and we are looking forward to pasties and ice creams together.

Later on in the week we're going as a family to an artsy hipster circus show. Plus both teens will be sleeping a lot I'm sure

MonkeyPuddle · 25/05/2023 09:27

family fun day at the pub on bank holiday Monday, big shop at Asda followed by the park on Tuesday. Then I’m on night shifts for 3 nights, one child at nursery, other one at his dads and with his Aunty for the day

Wombastic · 25/05/2023 09:38

I am working, one of my DD’s is on holiday with friends, another doing a sports club and another has a busy week of playing games, meeting friends and hanging about in typical teenage way hopefully not needing too much money. It’s the new normal now.

Orangeapple456 · 25/05/2023 12:27

hope everyone enjoys.

Ours is pretty much the same as other holidays which is fine.

Library one day and haircuts in town plus probably get treats from a cafe.

Teens are off on an outdoor club thing one day.

Walk in the woods /nature reserve

Seeing grandparents.

Swimming (we have an annual pass)

Hopefully squeeze in some baking with the DC aswell!

fireflyloo · 29/05/2023 22:27

@hopeishere

Yes I know of several. My nieces go to St.ita's and they're off. My neighbours dc school also off. My own dc had 3 days off. And we break up in 4.5 weeks.
