I didn't watch the coronation but came across this article today.

She's very slim so I think it's very likely from these photos. Could be wrong though!

"plus no relationship with her own father (who had an affair with her mother)."

Hang on - what???

Carrie is the product of an affair. I believe her father supported her financially but had no real contact with her.

frankgu · 19/05/2023 20:51

I've known children lose their 'young' parents at all ages. My father lost his dad when he was 8, my mum was 17, my son in law when he was 12.

That's not the norm though...

A third child with an almost 60-year-old Boris? Can't relate! Assume she just wants a big family, unless she's somehow insecure/competitive about the four children from the earlier marriage and wants to catch up? A friend of mine did that.

Misogynist bullshit. What a fucking thread.

SilentParrot · 19/05/2023 20:52

I think both her parents were married to other people at the time of her affair. So it kind of explains why she's attracted to Johnson.

Badgeringabout · 19/05/2023 20:52

Meili04 · 19/05/2023 19:32

I don't know how she can bare to shag him 🤢🤢🤮🤮 He's nearly 60 yuck and he has loads of kids already.

And ageism.

tobee · 19/05/2023 20:52

I'm confused about the bit "who had an affair with her mother"??? Or I'm I just reading it wrong?

Ohhhhhh! I see!!

frankgu · 19/05/2023 20:55

Plenty of people have a large age gap and a successful marriage.

Which is fine but I was just explaining what some people find yuck about it. You can crack on!

frankgu · 19/05/2023 20:56

And ageism.

Wowsers the Boris stans are out in force! It's not ageism to mention a large age gap or his age when it comes to having kids! 😆

The age gap wasn't mentioned if you read what I quoted.
If I am a 'Boris stan' for thinking that there are some revolting comments on here then so be it.

I am guessing that many people posting their pathetic vitriol on here are the 'be kind' types horrified when celebs that they like take their own lives due to online bullying...but don't give a shit if they see that person as fair game which apparently BJ and his 8 MONTHS PREGNANT wife are.

FFS.

StrawberryWasp · 19/05/2023 21:05

How lovely for her.
She is obviously really enjoying motherhood and her babies.

I presume she believes her husband is going to be a better family man this time round, despite his history. I hope for her sake and her children's she's right.

The comments on this thread are really pathetic.

When someone announces a pregnancy is your first thought usually whether you'd shag her husband or not?? What a weird and warped response.

And lots of women on Mumsnet have good relationships with significant age gaps, and lots of us have sex with our 60year old or older husbands. Because we love them.

Think about who you are insulting here it's not just Carrie Johnson, and I'm not sure why she deserves it, you are also insulting lots of other MNers reading.
Grow up.

Well spotted @frankgu

That's the whole point.

No one knows what life will throw at them.

And even looking at average life expectancy, he should get to his mid 80s.

I am sure Carrie can do the maths.

He is, after all, a fine physical specimen.

Not the dead ones then? Seems a shame

Missed opportunity ennit. They should have dug Churchill up at least, he was right there.

If I’m honest with myself, I reckon I could shag Boris tbh 😂
I’m no Tory , Just find him very charismatic.

Now there's honesty for you 🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I'm around Carrie's age and I like older men, even had a tiny crush on Boris for about 5 mins. Although it was probably more sympathy/concern when he was very ill with Covid so I'm blaming it on that lol. However I wouldn't have kids with a much older man, not fair to the children to deliberately deprive them of a father for most of their life.

My friend just lost her husband aged 50 to cancer. They have a 5 and 10 year old. Being young doesn't guarantee longevity. Friends MIL and FIL are still alive and well.

Groutyonehereagain · 19/05/2023 22:20

You were right then @PerfectYear321 👍

GeriKellmansUpdo · 19/05/2023 22:27

Here's Boris in 2007 talking about overpopulation and global warming, and the teeming millions of Africa and Mexico City. Hypocritical twat. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/3643551/Global-over-population-is-the-real-issue.html

Global over-population is the real issue

That’s very sad. But unusual. How many people do you know who died at 50 compared to those who have died at 75 and older? It’s about odds.

I write as the child of older parents orphaned young although neither of them died at an age considered tragic.

And I'm sure you'd agree the less children who have to go through that trauma the better. Boris has age and the fact he could be unlucky and die before he hits average life expectancy both working against him.

SammyScrounge · 20/05/2023 01:01

Daisypain · 18/05/2023 23:02

This is so unpleasant

If she is pregnant- well it’s no one else’s business and certainly not until she chooses to make it public knowledge

If she isn’t then it’s basically saying she has gained weight/changed shape.

Ugh. It’s just so shit how people feel they can pass comment on other people’s bodies and speculate on the reason for them changing.

You are absolutely right, Daisy. And to link rather spiteful remarks to more remarks about Boris's unattractiveness makes it ten times worse.
Boris is no Brad Pitt but he has charisma in spades as many women can testify to. Carrie is a pretty young woman, he is a charismatic older man.
I hate it when SM start on people's looks and weight.

No, they don't give a stuff. Not to the overpopulated planet or the future for those children.

She is supposedly an environmentalist! Really just a stupid selfish woman

Who else should we judge using this reasoning?

People with chronic medical conditions shouldn't have children?
People who are poor shouldn't have children?

Other situations where life expectancy is statistically going to be shorter so conditions are not ideal?

How pleasant you are.
