I didn't watch the coronation but came across this article today.

She's very slim so I think it's very likely from these photos. Could be wrong though!

@Cat1066 what character assassination?

frankgu · 19/05/2023 20:02

FFS. I'm nearly 60 and DH is over 60.

Which is not the same as nearly 60 & 35 😆

@Cat1066 what character assassination?

People saying she's insecure? has low self esteem? Etc etc

SaturdayGiraffe · 19/05/2023 20:03

Really ugly people can be super attractive because their nature shines through.
But when someone is thoroughly horrible in deed and word, it’s difficult to comprehend any physical attraction.
Only conclusion is that the peripheral trappings of notoriety and familial connections are heady and enticing.

What's wrong with shagging someone of nearly 60? You think people my age shouldn't shag?

I think it's more the 25 yrs age gap...

Plenty of people have a large age gap and a successful marriage.

Good luck to her, I say.

Reaching out for some help from fellow allergy mums especially to wheat. My little boy has a wheat allergy, diagnosed before weaning (due to milk allergy which is now outgrown) and reacted to weetabix the first time he had it (projective vomiting and hives). He is now thriving 18 mo however has been having reactions at nursery (handful of hives) and I’m beside myself with worry that this is going to get worse the more accidental exposure he’s having. Do any mums have experience of their little ones outgrowing wheat allergies? Did they have hives or other symptoms?
the nursery are saying they are doing everything to avoid accidental exposure - the problem is I can’t work out if he’s touched some wheat and reacted (seems unlikely as we have wheat at home ) or if he’s found a corner of a cracker and grabbed it while no one is looking.
Please help and increasingly anxious mum!

I spotted that at the coronation.

Surprised it's taken this long for the press to clock it.

When I saw Carrie at the Coronation I thought I’d somehow missed the news she was pregnant. I was amazed when I googled it that there was no press speculation.

I can't stand Johnson but I think I'm still allowed to shag at my age.

No I wouldn't because he's double my age and nearly double hers. It's not disgusting if they are the same age. Would you be happy shagging an old bloke as a young woman?

PerkingFaintly · 19/05/2023 20:10

Don't care.

Other than it's amusing while there's another thread running where a fan of the NatCs is blaming one-parent families for crime.

Johnson has personally created a fair few of those.

Lottle · 19/05/2023 20:10

@Tryingmybest5518 did you put this in the right place?

PerkingFaintly · 19/05/2023 20:12

Hey there, @Tryingmybest5518

You'll probably get more responses if you start your own thread – mention allergies in the title.

Hope you get the help you need.

As Boris said to the actress...

PhyllisFogg · 19/05/2023 20:14

Of course they have known about it but certain people are treated very favourably by the press. Notice how we never see photos of Carrie or the kids unless it's an event.

But why does anyone care?

She is the 3rd wife of someone who was a dreadful PM, who was 'sacked' and has been replaced twice since.

She's not a 'sleb' or anything 'special' so why is anyone really interested?

Friend of a friend knew her and who she dated when she was at uni. She's just another 35 year old. I hope it works out for her but with his track record she will need to keep him on a short leash. I just sincerely hope that she isn't hoping there is safety in numbers (by having more children) to hold onto him.

Firefly1987 · 19/05/2023 20:17

I'm around Carrie's age and I like older men, even had a tiny crush on Boris for about 5 mins. Although it was probably more sympathy/concern when he was very ill with Covid so I'm blaming it on that lol. However I wouldn't have kids with a much older man, not fair to the children to deliberately deprive them of a father for most of their life.

There's at least one more.

Yes - at least one more.

Same. But then I thought she surely wouldn’t want to have sex with him a third time, so I must be wrong!

I don't agree with you there.

I've known children lose their 'young' parents at all ages. My father lost his dad when he was 8, my mum was 17, my son in law when he was 12.

BJ could live to 90 quite easily and his children would be in their early 30s.

Oh don’t be daft. Obviously you’re far more likely to lose your parents young if they’re older.

Firefly1987 · 19/05/2023 20:35

@PhyllisFogg yeh and parents lose their kids too, but how many expect to? How often does that happen? It's not ok to make more potential orphans just because someone you know was extremely unlucky and died young. He almost died of Covid already! Early 30s is still quite young to lose a parent and that's wishful thinking. I know people don't agree with me on this, I had an older dad and no one really gave a damn I lost him young so I don't expect anyone to think it's wrong for a pensioner to have yet another kid, I suppose same comments were made about De Niro.

Lottle · 19/05/2023 20:36

@Daisy62 i think we know Boris has been putting it in exactly the right place! At least 8 times!

WhatADrabCarpet · 19/05/2023 20:39

I feel so sorry for all of his known/unknown children.

Emotionalsupportviper · 19/05/2023 20:42

Frankly - it isn't the age difference; it's not even that he is physically repulsive (to me, at any rate), because a) we all like different types, and b) there are some very plain - in fact downright ugly - men who are very attractive; it's that he is a lazy, lying, vindictive, misogynistic, lecherous, bed-hopping, narcissistic sociopath who is likely to abandon his (current) family if "something better" comes along.

(In my opinion - I am not qualified to diagnose narcissism or sociopathy, but if I were I bet I would.)

tobee · 19/05/2023 20:48

"plus no relationship with her own father (who had an affair with her mother)."

Hang on - what???
