Carrie Johnson pregnant?

I didn't watch the coronation but came across this article today.

She's very slim so I think it's very likely from these photos. Could be wrong though!

I did check wiki yesterday and it does seem to be 7 (soon to be 8) if you don't include the abortion and miscarriage with yet another lover) and the wiki entry was pretty specific. I vote Conservative and I am not sure why people are quite nasty on the thread when I don't think the Tories are quite so nasty about people like Corbyn or even Labour people who play around like Harold Wilson did back in the day.

The hatred for them is all political even if people pretend it's all about overpopulation. It's a revolting thread from start to finish tbh.

Can you please link to this?

Here's his father being explicitly racist https://twitter.com/gaz_morris/status/1659603958774611975?t=4YLlIMN4szEv69oiDv2Fvw&s=19

And here's the man of the hour himself angsting over why nobody but him seems worried about population growth https://12ft.io/proxy?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.telegraph.co.uk%2Fcomment%2F3643551%2FGlobal-over-population-is-the-real-issue.html

He's far too bloody old.

Lots of ageism here and people seem to be ignoring all the ageing pop stars like Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart etc who had kids at much older ages than 58.

Even Gordon Bloody Brown was over 50.

FrostyFifi · 20/05/2023 13:16

@PhyllisFogg I think they're far too old as well.

No it's not political.

It's about two opportunists, one who is on his 3rd marriage and has countless (literally) children from affairs, and the other who appears to have no qualms about getting involved with a married man while his wife was having surgery for cancer.

Whenwillglorioussummercome · 20/05/2023 13:16

How are they ignoring them? This thread isn’t about them. I think I’ve seen plenty of similar comments about those people over the years. Robert de Niro most recently.

But that's not your call is it? It's the decision of the two people who make the baby.

Obviously it's not my call. It is however my opinion.

IMO there are far worse forms of parenting than being old and possibly dying by the time your child is 30.

Parents who are too young, who can't support a child, who have too many children to support them, who take drugs, etc etc etc.

Age is low down on the list.

PerfectYear321 · 20/05/2023 13:21

I guess the thing is the rules don't apply to Boris et al, just to us plebs, so he's not being a hypocrite on reflection

If a 58 year old woman was having a baby (by, say, adoption or surrogate) there wouldn't be anybody defending her age 🙄

Exactly if he was a tattooed thug with 8 children by different women on his third marriage at 58 cheated on the last wife while she had cancer MN would be in uproar but as he has a posh voice and lives in a nice house it's OK.... it's incredibly destructive to keep cheating and make new children in every relationship. How unsettling for the DC when new ones pop out every 5 mins with new women. He needs a vasectomy.

Boris gets a pass for this behaviour but the working class don't?

I imagine Boris might tick a few boxes on people’s bad parenting list, regardless of his age.

I hope that you say this in person to any woman who has children and that - obviously - you have none of your own otherwise it's all a bit pot calling kettle isn't it?
Also - you do know that you are posting on MUMSnet right?
Your hatred of a happily pregnant woman that you do not know says a great deal about you - none of it good.

No I don't have children because me and DH did not want to bring children into a shit overpopulated world.

There is no reason to have more than 2 children and for someone who supposedly cares about the environment she is just a hypocrite

KimberleyClark · 20/05/2023 14:42

Robert de Niro has just become a father again for the 7th time aged 79.

I agree, it doesn't sit well with her supposed 'environmentally concerned' stance!

Boris has always regarded the 'rules' as being different for him and his cronies to anyone else.

I agree with you and we made the same decision. I don't tend to be massively judgemental about others who have children though - unlike you - and I definitely wouldn't do so on a parenting website - also unlike you.

Also I will say again - spewing vitriol at a woman who is 8 months pregnant is really not a good look.

Boomboom22 · 20/05/2023 17:41

🤣 I hardly think it's unsettling for his 4 adult children who won't really be siblings more like aunt and uncles to the younger ones. Also marina says the cancer was after they split. But yes I wouldn't have babies with him.

Firefly1987 · 20/05/2023 19:09

StrawberryWasp · 20/05/2023 08:22

Who else should we judge using this reasoning?

People with chronic medical conditions shouldn't have children?
People who are poor shouldn't have children?

Other situations where life expectancy is statistically going to be shorter so conditions are not ideal?

How pleasant you are.

How pleasant I am in a sarcastic tone because I don't want more kids to go through the trauma of losing a parent young? As the child of an older father it's entirely my right to judge, it's affected my life hugely. I'm coming up to my mid-30s with barely any family left just my mother. I never had a dad to walk me down the aisle, maybe he could've made it in a wheelchair if I'd got married at the ripe old age of 22 but other than that, no I never had that chance. It's incredibly lonely and isolating. Not to mention how long it took to get over his death. I didn't bring up other situations either, but since you think we shouldn't judge anyone I wonder how old is too old for you-70? 80? 90? Or should parents just do what they want always without any consideration to their children?

So it's not ok to judge pensioner parents but we can judge too young parents?
Parenting isn't much use if there is no one there to do it because they're dead from old age already...

Xenia · 20/05/2023 19:33

I believe in freedom of speech and I am sure Boris J can cope with criticism, but I still think people are particularly nasty usually people who support Labour, but there you go. It's a free country (other than in lockdowns when both Tory and Labour, sadly, both supported the lockdowns as did most people).

It's not judgement about someone who has children but someone who is expecting their third and is supposed to be concerned about the environment.

And do you get quite so wound up about all women who dare to have more than two children? Or would it be the fact that she is married to BJ that is the issue? 🙄

getting involved with a married man while his wife was having surgery for cancer
They started an affair when he was married and his wife was having treatment for cervical cancer.

By her own account in the Guardian, Marina Wheeler was diagnosed with cancer in May 2019.
She separated from Boris Johnson the year before, in the summer of 2018. MW had already obtained a decree nisi in divorce proceedings before her cancer diagnosis.

Boris Johnson described a choir of Ugandan orphans with HIV as ‘little AIDS-ridden choristers’. I don’t think Labour supporters have any monopoly on being vile.

GeriKellmansUpdo · 20/05/2023 22:13

Boris and other racist, dogwhistling Tories with one rule for themselves and another rule for POC can take care of themselves. I will not make any apology for being "nasty".
