If you could choose your breast size- what size would you be?

I had a mastectomy a few years ago now need to get another one and I can't have reconstruction for a year.
Anyway on a lighter note I get to choose 2 new prosthesis in any size I want!
I've always been rather large so was thinking of going down from an F to a C/D?
If you could choose your size what would you choose?

I’m a 34GG and honestly I wish I was like my dd who is a 30A. She never even wears bras, she doesn’t even own one. I absolutely hate bras. I’ve been fitted properly many times - in fact I’ve actually been to Bravissimo today and been fitted (again) because I’ve put on weight and needed some new ones, but they’re all horrible really.. I’d love to float about totally braless.

QuickNameChangeForMeToday · 06/05/2023 18:55

I’m a 36FF. My breasts weigh over 16lbs.

I would go for a 36C or 36D I think.

Newnamenewname109870 · 06/05/2023 18:57

A C is always lovely as looks decent but isn’t to uncomfortable. 32C is nice and was my old size.

I'm a 34G now but used to be a 32D before kids. Id like to be a 32C.

supersop60 · 06/05/2023 19:00

34B/C which I was before dc. Now I'm a 34FF and feel really frumpy.

amicissimma · 06/05/2023 19:02

I'm happy with my size. I'm the 34B that some people seem to think is impossible because I wear a size 8 top (or 6 from M&S). Occasionally I wear a 36A if the 34B is a little tight round the band. Comfortable, little boobs neatly contained but filling the cup, no slipping.

I've tried various bra fitters, including Boob or Bust, and have spent ages with the fitter trying to saw me in half with a 32 or even a 30. There is no way a 30 will meet around me and a 32, in any cup size - I had to try a lot to convince the fitter that it just wouldn't work - leaves a nasty red mark.

I do have a chuckle on these threads that always have at least one poster totally incapable of accepting that my size exists.

RampantIvy · 06/05/2023 19:04

You don't look huge @Kyse. You have the kind of curves I envy and you look in proportion. Celebrate your curves.

It’s because technically a size 8 top wouldn’t fit a 34 inch back. I’d bet your actual back tape measure measurement isn’t 34 inches.

lurchermummy · 06/05/2023 19:18

I'm a j cup so anything smaller would be perfect -maybe a D?

Fairylights7 · 06/05/2023 19:25

I had a choice when I had a double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction 5years ago, opted for the same size in the end and they are very pert and nice - whereas my own ones were starting to sag. Has to be some benefits of having BC!

Fiftyisthenewsixty · 06/05/2023 17:27

Really? I don't think I'm either. I'd go for 34C. I'm 34B now but have got larger round the stomach area with age and would like to be bigger to balance it out.

If you're a size 8 to 10, you're unlikely to measure 34 underneath the bust.

Fascinating! How do you know what they weigh @QuickNameChangeForMeToday ?

Dollmeup · 06/05/2023 19:57

I was an A when I was younger and am now a 36B, I think it's pretty perfect. You can see they are there but they don't get in the way!

Ruffpuff · 06/05/2023 20:20

I’m normally a 32/34 B. I’ve unintentionally lost weight and now I’m an A cup. I would cut my own hand off to have C-D size boobs. I hate being so flat chested.

toddlermom99 · 06/05/2023 20:24

I'm a 34G. I would love to go back down to a D/DD. Really hoping to have a breast reduction at some point

There’s an unwillingness on Mumsnet to accept that any woman could have a cup size smaller than a C. You absolutely must be wearing the wrong size bra. Never mind that you’ve been measured and tried out several bras with painfully small bands, and the woman telling you you’re in the wrong bra has never seen you and has no idea about your body shape. ‘YOU NEED A SMALLER BAND AND A BIGGER CUP’

Nope. Some of us just have teeny tiny breasts.

CordylineHair · 06/05/2023 21:15

I'd choose to be a 30B.

I am a 28GG

Haven't read every page but I reckon the majority of us don't want to be bigger.

HydrangeaFairy · 06/05/2023 21:32

@Helenahandkart absolutely agree. I've had fitters cutting me in half trying to persuade me to wear a 32C or something equally ridiculous.
If I can't fasten it or it's so tight it leaves a mark and the cups are almost empty it cannot be right.
Since breast cancer surgery I haven't worn a normal bra. I wear sloggi zero feel medium. They are beautifully comfortable and give a little shape.

ItsCalledAConversation · 06/05/2023 21:36

I liked being a 30DD but mine were all spread and no volume so I didn’t quite ever get the wonder bra look. More like two fried eggs gone astray.

SomethingOnce · 06/05/2023 21:51

Why are so many posters saying their boobs got bigger with age? Is it a hormonal thing?!

I’m a B/C depending on weight, but I’ve spent many years with BF boobs - much prefer them in small tbh, they get in the way when bigger.

Beautiful3 · 06/05/2023 21:55

I was a c, it was perfect. Now I've grown to a D, hate them, they're too big.

xogossipgirlxo · 06/05/2023 22:00

I am 32f/ff, could be 32d/dd, but I don’t mind size of my breasts anyway

Greenkitchen · 06/05/2023 22:10

Mine grew from a 32B to 32C after kids. I think it’s the perfect size. A full handful for DH 😂 and they’re still perky and pointing forward in mid 40s. Also I don’t need to wear a bra if I’m pottering about at home.

So if anyone is worried about breastfeeding, mine are proof that it can actually improve boob size!! I did a combined 30 months of breastfeeding for 2 DC and they look better now than in my early 20s.

I honestly don't know

I've put on weight everywhere since menopause

I remember bing 30dd in my early 40s which was great.

When I was younger in my early 20s and took the pill my boobs went up a size
