If you could choose your breast size- what size would you be?

I had a mastectomy a few years ago now need to get another one and I can't have reconstruction for a year.
Anyway on a lighter note I get to choose 2 new prosthesis in any size I want!
I've always been rather large so was thinking of going down from an F to a C/D?
If you could choose your size what would you choose?

30 E

I’m a 34D normally, when not breastfeeding and up weight after babies, right now I’m a 34DD just about, verging on another cup size up. I’d love to be a B or C at most, clothes fit so much better, not as limited with them, sports bras easier, etc etc

minipie · 06/05/2023 12:25

I think my answer is different for prosthetic boobs than for permanent ones iyswim.

For actual boobs I’d go small to medium so as not to have issues with drooping, sweat in summer, sport, back issues etc.

However for ones I could take off, none of these issues really apply, so I’d go bigger. Especially as you had larger breasts before - you might not feel “you” if you went too small?

C or D

humblemeep · 06/05/2023 12:28

Sorry to hear that Flowers
I'm currently a G and would go down to a as B if I could.

summerlovingvibes · 06/05/2023 12:28

I'm a 42E, would love to be a C!

Simianwalk · 06/05/2023 12:29

I'm a C and very happy. But would prefer a smaller stomach or to be a D to hide it better!

Boxshibe · 06/05/2023 12:29

When I get reconstruction the biggest they can go is a D. So I thought I'd try and get used to smaller books.
Even with mastectomy bras the smaller the size the nicer they are.

I'm quite happy with what I have - 34F. It sounds really big, because I think it was very unusual to wear a correctly fitting bra when I was growing up and a C or D cup was considered big (I'm going back to the days of page 3 girls), but it's not really. I fill my clothes, I can buy nice bras, my breasts are unnoticeable.

WaltzingWaters · 06/05/2023 12:31

I’m a D and very happy with that!

MidnightMeltdown · 06/05/2023 12:33

I think it depends a bit on your body shape. Women with broader shoulders, or very wide hips look better with a larger bust.

I'm a 32D with small shoulders and I'm happy with them as they are, but I don't think that I'd want them much bigger.

fussychica · 06/05/2023 12:33

I'm a 36DD and perfectly happy with that. I certainly don't look as busty as that sounds. Good shape and firmness despite being in my mid 60s. Probably my best feature these days.

MobilityCat · 06/05/2023 12:35

More than a handful is a waste.

megletthesecond · 06/05/2023 12:36

B cup. They fit in clothes and sports bras fit well.

EatingPeanutButterWithASpoon · 06/05/2023 12:36

I've got implants they were 32D/DD and I loved them when younger. Now after breastfeeding they've gone south and bigger, I dont actually know my size. Next time I have surgery I'll have them out and I'm looking forward to being smaller and not having to always wear a bra. I hope to be good B/C...

Icantfindanewname · 06/05/2023 12:37

Just had a reconstruction and reduction on t'other side, but a delayed DIEP flap so not implant. Went from 34G/GG (at one side, obvs) to a 36(?)F both sides. Don't actually need a bra unless doing sports, as old boob has been lifted to where it was when I was 20! Star jumps are a revelation without em bouncing up and down and risking a black eye😂 Hopefully back into a 34 once I can train again. I'm really happy to be back to something like normal for me.

IHeartGeneHunt · 06/05/2023 12:38

34C. I'm currently 38FF.

Radi0Wales · 06/05/2023 12:38

Cup sizes are meaningless unless we know your back size. An ‘F’ cup can be small or large depending on the back size.

Best of luck for the op 😊

ButterflyBitch · 06/05/2023 12:42

I’ve always been small so a c cup would be good for me. Bit bigger than I am now but not too big.

Terven · 06/05/2023 12:43

A cup - I‘m a C naturally and hate it. I want as small as possible if I had to choose.

Ohfgsjon · 06/05/2023 12:44

28C.

Waveyhouse · 06/05/2023 12:44

At my ‘normal’ weight, pre- babies, I was a rather lovely 34DD. They suited my body shape.

I’m now a 36F - they feel/ look too big. Ideally, once I’ve lost abit of weight, they will shrink back down!

DisforDarkChocolate · 06/05/2023 12:44

34C would be perfect.

Ohfgsjon · 06/05/2023 12:45

Radi0Wales · 06/05/2023 12:38

34 B

That means you have a very broad back or are around a size 14.
