If you could choose your breast size- what size would you be?

I had a mastectomy a few years ago now need to get another one and I can't have reconstruction for a year.
Anyway on a lighter note I get to choose 2 new prosthesis in any size I want!
I've always been rather large so was thinking of going down from an F to a C/D?
If you could choose your size what would you choose?

I was a C pre-babies, now after 2 years of breastfeeding became a E.

C was better as now I look fat in anything I wear

I wear a 30 band and usually an E cup.

My breasts are pretty small and I can easily go without a bra. Cup size is meaningless really.

The problem I've found is that bra companies give small back bras with e cups thick shoulder straps and wide back straps, just because they are e cups, whereas 32d bras are not made like that.

I’m currently a 32F and I would like to be 32B like I was in my youth!

Yes I'm the same and was 32B in my youth

Why do they expand so much in later life?

I'm quite tall with naturally broad shoulders and wider hips and think my boobs looks too small on me (32D)

I'd like to go up to E cup and be happy with it!

StarlightLady · 06/05/2023 16:09

I'm a 36F and happy with what I've got.

CornishGem1975 · 06/05/2023 16:10

A nice neat B cup.

RampantIvy · 06/05/2023 16:17

It probably comes down to the shape of your breasts and the shape of the bra.

Yes. A Wacoal 32D full cup bra is a perfect fit for me.

I haven't noticed any of us flat chested people wanting to be bigger.

Wrong. I would love to be a couple of cup sizes bigger so that I look in proportion, and be able to wear clothes with darts in that don't flap emptily over my chest.

Why do they expand so much in later life?

They didn't in my case. At 64 I'm still the same small size as I was 40 years ago. The only silver lining is that I don't get underboob sweat in hot weather. I wear a bra to add curves.

YouNeverSeeTheRealMe · 06/05/2023 16:17

I'd love to be 38D. Currently GG but dieting

AllOfThemWitches · 06/05/2023 16:18

I'm a 34d and i feel like I look top heavy. I only suit fitted clothes. So I guess I'd go a lot smaller.

JeepersCreeperrs · 06/05/2023 16:18

I had a breast reduction from a g / gg down to a Dd / E.

i’d still like to be a c / d.

maranella · 06/05/2023 16:35

If D is the biggest you can go, that's what I'd get, but then I'm an E cup so I'm used to bigger breasts. Whatever you go for, they should ideally be in proportion to the rest of you and since silicone is going to be firmer than normal breast tissue a C may well be enough.

Can you take along a selection of bras (B, C and D cup), put the implants inside and try them on? I know that sounds a bit funny, but I'd want to know what the different sizes will look like under clothes.

InSpainTheRain · 06/05/2023 16:39

I am F, I would choose B. Good luck OP!

Pahpahpotato · 06/05/2023 16:43

I’m a 34H/HH and would choose about a 32F again… on the basis I’d be slimmer again 🤣

FfeminyddCymraeg · 06/05/2023 16:45

I loved being a 32C back in the day.

Now a 36DD and I feel more matronly 😕

Whirlywiccan · 06/05/2023 16:46

I'm around an e cup and they're awful! Would love a nice handful, lol...C seems nice?

Ohfgsjon · 06/05/2023 17:09

Semm · 06/05/2023 14:13

Here's a 32DD @Ohfgsjon. A 32D would be even smaller in terms of cup size.

I'm a 32DD....I know what that size looks like. I think the breasts in that picture are big. Certainly not nearly flat.

SallyWD · 06/05/2023 17:10

Maybe C. I've always had small breasts A or B cup so would like slightly bigger breasts. I'm grateful for my smaller breasts now I'm getting older though. Still quite pert. Nothing to sag, I suppose!

Boxshibe · 06/05/2023 17:18

I wouldn't be getting implants but another procedure to get the reconstruction ( can't remember of the top of my head)
It interesting to hear a lot of people would go smaller.

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 06/05/2023 17:19

I had a scare a few years ago and considered this while I was waiting for results- I think I might actually not go for reconstruction. I’m a 28FF and hate them - they get in the way if I do any kind of exercise, I have to buy tops bigger than I otherwise need and have fabric flapping round my waist, and when I was younger male colleagues used to talk to them rather than me. And now I’m old they make me look matronly when I’m actually quite small otherwise.

ladygindiva · 06/05/2023 17:22

DryIce · 06/05/2023 12:17

Depends on back size, I was refitted and am a 32DD-E, but really have very average sized boobs.

My sweet spot is enough to fill out a bikini/plunge top, without causing issues with gaping/back pain.

Same. They're definitely there, but not an encumberance

Fiftyisthenewsixty · 06/05/2023 17:27

Ohfgsjon · 06/05/2023 12:45

That means you have a very broad back or are around a size 14.

Really? I don't think I'm either. I'd go for 34C. I'm 34B now but have got larger round the stomach area with age and would like to be bigger to balance it out.

pilates · 06/05/2023 17:29

34B

Ponderingwindow · 06/05/2023 17:29

Currently an H. I’d like to be a DD, or maybe a D so clothing fit better. I hit DD as a 6 stone, 14 year old so I’m not sure what being a D would actually be like.

Polis · 06/05/2023 17:33

I’m a 28FF and hate them - they get in the way if I do any kind of exercise

That the same size as me and I don’t find them a problem. I’m in the gym five days a week.

Kenwoodmixitup · 06/05/2023 17:45

We have such differing relationships with our boobs. So wish I’d been able to know this stuff 30 years ago.
