What were you doing when the alarm went off?

I was at my daughters birthday party. It went over the entertainers blue tooth speakers as well as everyone's phone.

At a family get together. About a quarter went off at 2:59, some around ten past and some not at all.

I was making my lunch whilst waiting for the alarm and it did'nt go off!

It my own fault for having an older phone!!🤣

I was in bed, coughing, then saying 'ow' then coughing again. (I have covid.) Our phones all went off at different times between 2.59 and 3.06.

Sitting watching my phone and waiting for the alert. Mine was in English and Welsh.

DSis and I were laughing at the Welsh version, automated message woman obviously doesn't speak Welsh as she was spelling out half the words instead of reading them Grin

In answer to the original question, we had pulled over into a supermarket carpark as we were lost and trying to follow Google maps on my phone and didn't want to get distracted when the alert went off. Good job we did, we both jumped out of our skins even though we were literally sitting there holding our phones waiting for it !

Watching Hotel Inspector with my phone under a cushion to muffle the sound. Needn’t have bothered as no one in the house got the alert. Fucking bunch of shysters who call themselves a government can’t even get this right.

My DH's went off at 2:59, while we were sat chatting about how it would be going off soon. When mine went off at 3:01 I was staring at my phone wondering why DHs had gone off and not mine. Almost same phone model, same network on same account! Clearly they want to give my DH a head start 🤔

At a shell garage, filling up with diesel. Weird beeping from the handbag area. Ignored then remembered it was 3pm !
Went to lidl after that, my exciting Sunday 🙄

neither mine nor dh's went off.

But dd's did, so not our network.

Dh did some research and apparently our phones are too old.
I have a Samsung 6. I am amazed that it is too old for this as it does everything else.

So that means only those with new phones will get warning of floods and terrorists.
Sounds pretty normal, older, poorer people getting a bum deal?

Pub garden with friends..10 of us. 3 went off early, 2 on time, 4 went off between 7-12 mins late and one not at all!

I was at a wand making workshop (with my daughter) at a fair. I was in the middle of a field and it was really odd to hear everyone's phones go nuts at 14:59.

On a call for work. I hung up and got the last half a second of the alarm and thought, was that it? I’m glad it didn’t disturb my call though, it was important. I’m also slightly fucked off that I missed the alarm.

Chatting to a couple of family members in the kitchen, our 3 iPhones went off at once, nearly jumped out of my skin.
