Grudges you continue to hold

Just drive a different way home, past a car wash and remembered how I refuse to use it on principle 😂
Years ago, I was in a hurry and no one in front - as I drove in, and was being 'washed' by one of the chaps, the one in charge allowed someone to jump the queue as they were 'in a hurry' and 'just wanted a spritz' - nope, they reversed all the way back, had everything, and I sat fuming at the the queue jumpy enablement.
Refuse to go back, I'm sure they are disappointed 😂

Previous manager and her manager. Took me on for job, had worked with her before, completely knew my work history. Between signing contract and starting the job, her manager decided she wanted the role to be in the country where she was based, directly in her office, not in the UK and remote as I was.

She made my life hell, my immediate manager left leaving me to report to her manager for the remainder of my probationary period. Although I met every requirement and then some, she terminated my contract, replacing me with the role in her team and office.
Having always had glowing employment reports and references it was a shock at how the system can be manipulated and so bloody unfair. The last laugh is definitely mine though, in my current job my recent promotion took me way above her pay grade. Even if she never knows, the knowledge is sweet.

Former boss who made me feel totally worthless and suicidal. My doctor refused to sign me back to work until I was away from “that woman”.

nearly 20 years later and my mental health is still not great. She ruined my life. ExH decided he couldn’t cope and walked out on me.

I hate her so much.

IKnowItsNotMine · 17/04/2023 23:47

I have a car wash grudge too !

Big place that does the whole town and I’ve been going for years. I made the mistake of getting my tyres done there and they snapped 2 tyre pressure valves and denied it !

I glare at them every time I pass and my car desperately needs a wash 😭

TrashyPanda · 17/04/2023 23:48

Oh - her main complaint about me?

my voice was “too posh”

Lidl.

I'd just done a £300 shop for charity Christmas hampers in there. While loading up my car that cold December night, the manager came out to "deal" with a homeless man which the security guard had failed to move on.

The managers way of dealing with the man was to tell him he was going to throw a bottle of cold water over him. Open 2l bottle in hand, the manager started counting back from 5.

I abandoned my shopping and let rip at the manager. Loudly. The manager tried to defend his actions. I wasn't having any of it. Reported him to all and sundry.

I have not been in Lidl for the last 4 years because of it.

Feeling cross now just remembering it 🤬

And I really love you!

I persuaded my new bff to join the netball club I was part of so we could hang out together more. She was better than me stole my place and I ended up on the sub bench. She sent me a FB friend request recently and I rejected it. This was about 40 years ago.

Mum463 · 17/04/2023 23:54

There's a woman at our Tesco who accused DH of stealing because he put shopping he"d paid for into the trolley without using a bag. Think big items like toilet rolls after paying for them at the manned till. We never, ever go to the mean woman's till.

Friarclose · 18/04/2023 00:00

Ex boss for trying to get me the sack when you knew that I'd just signed a mortgage and had a 1 year old baby. You shouldn't have put a topless pic on Facebook if you didn't want people talking about it. Hag.

Joe from Year 7, until I met you I had no idea my lips were any fuller than the average person and thanks to you I endured years of being called fish face, coddy, all sorts. Now I love my lips and paint them red and I'm sure you're a balding twat with a tiny cock.

IKnowItsNotMine · 18/04/2023 00:02

Knutsford for their knutty parking wardens ticketing my car with a blue badge on it.
I won’t be going back.

Ellmau · 18/04/2023 00:04

Teacher at school who accused me and several others of not doing our homework and going on and on in such a horrid way I cried, when actually she was the one who had lost the work we had all handed in on time.

I was 14 at the time. I am now 52. I still hold that grudge.

My pil for ruining my first night home with dd by insisting on sleeping over.
I'll never forget trying to go to the toilet while fil paced outside asking how long I'd be. AGES MATE, THIS.IS WHY I ASKED YOU NOT TO STAY. 😡

That's horrendous!

Ideaswoman · 18/04/2023 00:06

Getting hammered in a mixed doubles league tennis match by much better players. Fair enough. But hit an ace to secure a consolation game. At the changeover of sides, smug female player tells me that it was lucky we got that game. Silent and seethed and have seethed ever since. Should have asked her much nicee male partner loudly whether he thought the serve was in, and then when he confirmed it was said "how so, lucky then?" so petty but still rankles! My, this is cathartic!

I feel your pain, I ended up having a breakdown last year that was massively influenced by my manager.

Occ health, HR and the Union all let me down when I stood up, funny now HR are interested in how they can help other people in my situation...
Do your fucking job??

YankeeDad · 18/04/2023 00:07

Right before I saw "The Empire Strikes Back" in the cinema as a child, a classmate told me who is Luke's father.

I shall never forgive him. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest his armpits.

KillerSandy · 18/04/2023 00:10

Are we not allowed to say ex husbands? 😂

Ginburee · 18/04/2023 00:15

I do have quite a few stored up but alas am heading up the wooden hill.
I did join a social media platform so I could slate sports direct.
I went to buy some running shoes and asked a shop assistant for some advice- he thought it was funny and laughed.
Plus size people can run MF- I went elsewhere and ran a 10k in those lovely shoes!!

newwnamme · 18/04/2023 00:19

This is outing to anyone who knows me as I have complained loudly to all who will listen.

NDN, older man and his wife who drive 2 x cars + 1 x motorcycle between them. Their house is on the corner, they have an off road parking spot, a driveway and a garage. It's a busy residential road with not enough parking on street for all the residents who don't have those things, of whom we are one. This man parks his car religiously outside our house rather than in one of his three available places. He probably drives it once per fortnight. The rest of the time, it sits there, allowing his wife to use the parking space and the driveway to be free for him to ride his motorcycle down. If, by some miracle, we return home when he has taken the car somewhere and manage to park outside out own house, he will (I exaggerate not) wait by his curtains until we leave, then nip out and move his car into the space outside our house.

He once took the car on holiday - in order to be sure of access to "his" space upon his return, he had a family member park a work van there for the duration. On one memorable occasion, we had managed to park there before realising our ancient car was in need of repairs of some kind. It was a few weeks before we could sort them. He was on his driveway every morning at the time he knows my partner leaves for work, pretending to have something else to do. He actually refused to move the car even for our removal truck the day we moved in - at the time, I shrugged it off but I should have seen it of a sign of the crazy to come.

Anyway, after enduring this for some years when our children were at their youngest with all that that entails, we got our own driveway. He wasn't in to move his car when the digger turned up, but they just drove around him and cracked on anyway. His face upon his return was worth every penny of the £4k that we paid. Regardless, I will hold a grudge until he dies or moves for the hugely unnecessary struggle he inflicted upon us daily. And little does he know, I have been exacting my revenge in petty but satisfying ways ever since.

Festivemoose · 18/04/2023 00:23

I have 40 year old beef with a local newsagent because when my mum tried to go in with newborn me in a pram the owner told her she would have to leave me outside as they don’t prams in.
I still refuse to set foot in the shop - despite the fact it’s probably changed ownership in that time 😂

Over 50 years ago my Mum used to send me to a local food shop (a Jewish deli) to buy smoked salmon. They hand cut it in front of you. I had my money in hand and they served adults behind me in the queue. I was too shy to stand up for myself.

I swore I would never go to that shop when I was an adult.

I never did.

Was it relevant that it was a Jewish deli? Or just a deli? Just wondering because my possible Antisemitism-Spidey-Senses are twitching.

IncompleteSenten · 18/04/2023 00:27

I've been mad for a quarter of a century over a tin of spaghetti Bolognese from netto.

AffairAlert · 18/04/2023 00:30

Leanne C still owes me 42p bus fare I lent her in 2000 when we were 14.

Fucking bitch.

MrsMorrisey · 18/04/2023 00:34

There is two companies in Australia which I refuse to shop at.
One is Bridgestone tyres, their ads were women dressed up in bondage gear needing to get rescued from their car. Screaming and being pathetic.
The other is Windsor Smith shoes whose billboards were depicting women wearing dog collars on leads. 😩
Terrible marketing.

Gofaster2023 · 18/04/2023 00:39

I cycle to work and there's somone who travels the same direction as me. They are slow but they ignore red lights so overtake me at certain points but then I inevitably catch up by cycling naturally faster and get stuck behind them unable to over take safely. Then when I finally manage to over take, they whizz up onto the pavement at the next red and the whole thing starts again. Drives me mad. I once randomly saw them when I was on the bus and I genuinely felt my eyes narrow as I thought, "we meet again, Bike Wanker ".

Charmatt · 18/04/2023 00:41

A boy I was at school with posted on local FB page for people to be understanding of the young people because, 'you don't know what they might be going through!'

....this bastard made my life a fecking misery because I couldn't go to the travelling fair when it came to our village when I was 15 because I'd had a seizure and was undergoing tests for epilepsy, so I couldn't go on any of the rides. He humiliated me for being a baby and not being allowed to go. He also delivered our paper so my eldest brother (8 years older and I the territorial army) opened the door when he was putting the paper through and frightened the sh*t out of him, threatening to break his legs!

He never spoke to me again - 35 years ago - but I still wanted to reply to his FB post and call him a fecking hypocrite!

MrsAvocet · 18/04/2023 00:47

Bellway Homes for getting our hopes up over buying one of their new builds then giving us an absolutely ridiculous offer on our existing house as part ex. I mean we knew it wouldn't be market value but it was so low as to be offensive. DH and I still blow raspberries at any Bellway development we pass, anywhere in the country. It was nearly 30 years ago. 😂😂😂
We bought a much better house in the end too.
