If the coronation was being funded by voluntary contributions would you pay towards it?

I wouldn't, I think charlie should pay for it out of his personal billions. If you would, why?

Yes

DustyLee123 · 10/04/2023 21:21

Absolutely not.

DisforDarkChocolate · 10/04/2023 21:21

No. Not my king

UndercoverCop · 10/04/2023 21:24

How much? I paid £7.80 for two coffees earlier. Might chuck a fiver in for the extra bank holiday and DS likes the brass bands and military parades

Helloavoncalling · 10/04/2023 21:24

Nope

MelchiorsMistress · 10/04/2023 21:29

I’d happily chick in a tenner because I’m planning on enjoying the coronation and the extra bank holiday.

Iamintochampagne · 10/04/2023 21:42

I’d pay a nominal amount to enjoy a bank holiday for the coronation 😁

MyLavenderSuperpowers · 10/04/2023 21:42

Nope

medianewbie · 11/04/2023 00:16

Hello no !!!

FiledAwayInABox · 11/04/2023 00:56

Never. King Charles is an awful greedy self serving man who is a hypocrite and who actually believes he is better than other people simply because of the family he has been born into.

It's pathetic. Anyone with half a brain cell and any self awareness would step down and return the land (and seabeds) etc back to the people of Britain.

I love British history but it's in the past! There is no place for a royal family in this day and age. Especially one that is so out of touch.

TooOldToCareAboutOthersOpinions · 11/04/2023 01:12

Nope!

Not a hope in hell.

GobbieMaggie · 11/04/2023 01:37

What makes you think he has £billions ?.

RedSmartie · 11/04/2023 01:43

I suppose I could stretch to chucking 5p and a Guinness bottle top into his begging bowl if needs be.

Germolenequeen · 11/04/2023 01:53

Don't live in the UK anymore but since this is hypothetical anyway i'll give my answer which is a resounding NO WAY

Mammyloveswine · 11/04/2023 01:53

Id Chuck a fiver in !

blackheartsgirl · 11/04/2023 01:56

FangedFrisbee · 11/04/2023 02:04

No

SerafinasGoose · 11/04/2023 02:16

Hard no.

I've never much cared about them on an individual basis, it's the system and what they stand for I principally object to. Even so I'm sick to the back teeth of their incessant public griping, media manipulation, constant leaks, brattish self-importance, self-pitying whining (or getting 'sources' to do so for them), and grandiose sense of entitlement.

The only fund to which I'd willingly contribute for this family of misfits is to pay for the whole lot of them to go away. Now. Permanently.

Oldsu · 11/04/2023 02:31

I think I already do, as a working pensioner I pay a lot of tax, but I could give up working and live on my state pension and my private one, I would still pay tax of course but not very much, so while I chose to work and pay more tax I cant complain about what my tax is used for can I?

TheLadyofShalott1 · 11/04/2023 03:18

No, for Charles and Camilla.
Yes, for William and Catherine.

MileEndMillenial · 11/04/2023 04:26

I wonder how the answers would be if you were asking about other tax payer funded events/services

Public transport?
Roads?
Schools?
Prisons?
Rehab schemes?
Sports funding?
Police?
Social care?
Public events?
cycle paths?
Parks?
Nature reserves?
council housing?
