If the coronation was being funded by voluntary contributions would you pay towards it?

I wouldn't, I think charlie should pay for it out of his personal billions. If you would, why?

Definitely not.

No

Like fuck! When people who are working can’t afford to eat 3 meals a day and even teachers / police are homeless due to stupidly high cost of living, the crown should be donating money that would use for coronation to aid food banks and the like! Fucking parasitical family!😡

Absolutely not. Can't stand him or his creepy brother.

OzempicClicker · 15/04/2023 16:38

No! They've got plenty of cash and I'm completely uninterested in the whole lot of them. Just because their distant ancestors had the biggest sticks... muttering

No

verdantverdure · 27/04/2023 20:24

No flipping way.

Tink1990 · 27/04/2023 20:27

No way!

illiad · 27/04/2023 20:43

I'm thinking yes - £1 to £1.50 per person for an extra bank holiday seems like a fair trade. Not actually too bothered about the service itself etc.

I wonder if any of the Royal family ever look at social media. They all seem so cluesness about how they come across and how they behave

I'd love to explain to Charles what people really think. I suppose though that when you are that wealthy and surrounded by 'yes' people it must be hard to realise just what a selfish greedy idiot you are.

lljkk · 28/04/2023 13:10

I wouldn't look at SM if I were a Royal. Who wants to read a lot of hate & ridiculous sniping?
They have to be way more thick skinned than that.
Huge respect for Kate M. who voluntarily walked into that Lion's Den for the man she loved.

Bumblebee2022 · 28/04/2023 13:40

Nope, I wouldn’t pay a penny. They have far more money than I do. I can’t work because of the incapable local council providing inadequate support for my disabled child, my £70 a week carers allowance doesn’t really cover my own expenses, let alone donations for a coronation!

That's the thing though - your opinion isn't what everyone thinks, so whilst you'd be fully in your rights to give your own thoughts, it doesn't mean that everyone else (or even the majority of others) feel the same way as you do.

🤔I didn't suggest that "everyone else (or even the majority of others)" feel the same way as I do. I know he is more popular with older white people than younger people or people who are not white.

I really dislike him. I genuinely think he is not a nice person. I think he is ignorant and arrogant. He is continuing to make sure that him and his family maintain their wealth and status.

I can appreciate peoples love of the history of the Royal family and the traditions and sense of occasion associated with the coronation but why anyone would admire Charles or any of the rest of them is beyond me. It's a twisted sort of person that thinks that are so important and special simply because they were born into a family.

Do you actually admire Charles?

SinnerBoy · 28/04/2023 14:48

No, not a chance. I'd contribute £1.45:to a pot to send them off to some remote Pacific island, for good.

Gothambutnotahamster · 28/04/2023 18:35

@YouCould I never said I admired him but I disagree with how you feel about him & I'm not particularly old.

Absolutely not
