Uncomplainingly takes the kids to see the Super Mario Bros film so you can have an afternoon snooze 😍

Your turn!

I married the man who got me a new car on finance after 5 months!
Post divorce my credit was shot.
*I made the payments!
Found out recently that is illegal!

I did not know that’s illegal either! 😱

Netcam · 08/04/2023 19:19

Makes you cappuccino in bed every Saturday and Sunday morning while you have a lie in.

MysteryBelle · 08/04/2023 19:21

calls me Beauty instead of my name.

Stands outside a crematorium in the rain waiting for you to make sure you’re ok whilst you’re at your little brother’s socially distant funeral in the middle of a pandemic when you’ve only been going out six months and they never even met.

Oh this is so lovely too. I hope you are still with him? And so sorry for your loss x

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 08/04/2023 19:24

Bloody hell, I’m crying over here!

Buildingthefuture · 08/04/2023 19:34

Brings you coffee in bed every morning. Who wanders around a random European city at 6am trying to find a pharmacy because, whilst you were on a city break, your period came two weeks early and you were in pain. He found one too! Who will drive you on a 10 hour round trip for a medical appointment (5 times!) Who supports your often ridiculous need to rescue every old/disabled dog on the actual planet, without question ever, and the newest geriatric arrival is currently asleep on his lap ❤️

Moaning5 · 08/04/2023 19:37

…wants to be a husband, and doesn’t just want a wife.

Also, walks your dogs and picks up groceries without needing to be asked !

PritiPatelsMaker · 08/04/2023 19:38

Let's you lie on the sofa with the DDog and brings you cups of tea/glasses of wine and chocolate 🍫

Yolo12345 · 08/04/2023 19:55

Shares his food 🤗

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 08/04/2023 15:36

Though I've absolutely no intention of marrying anyone (for the sake of transparency) 😂

Same here and bravo 🤗

… prioritises you and the children

Drives to your parents home every night to carry your dying father up the stairs so that he can sleep in the same bed as his wife rather than the palliative care bed set up in the dining room, without being asked.

🥺

JustFrustrated · 08/04/2023 15:31

Carries period stuff in his boot as standard, so when you/your daughter/your friends are caught short you're ok

This is brilliant

Out of all of the comments this one has genuinely bought a tear to my eye. What a genuinely fabulous and compassionate human he is 😍

...brings you a coffee in bed every morning.
...loves cooking.

Yup
ahem always makes sure you enjoy yourself first.
fills in forms
Has good genetics so your children are tall and good at maths ! I am not.

Careerdilemma · 08/04/2023 20:15

Who despite having always said he never wanted children, only asks you once if you're sure it is right to keep the unplanned baby. Then respects the fact it is your body and your choice and steps up to be the best father he can be, even though it doesn't come easily to him and he finds parenting hard.

Charlize43 · 08/04/2023 20:16

...That is the gay billionaire looking for a beard.

My beloved of over 30 years will take me anywhere, for whatever reason.

I struggle with driving.

And he tells me that he loves me so many times.

Can he teach my DH please? I hated learning to drive, but carried on as I (perhaps naively) thought it would be better once I passed and had my own car. It didn't. I had panic attacks on more than one occasion and would get out the car after only driving 5 minutes. So when I was in an accident ( not my fault) and my car was written off I didn't drive for 3 years and still don't despite being on his insurance and he makes digs all the time about the waste of time and money in me learning, how it's pathetic I act this way etc etc

I feel im in the right for not driving. My fear makes me an unsafe driver and would probably invalidated my insurance if I drove

SnowyGiveAway · 08/04/2023 20:17

Takes the baby at 4am, and then again at 6am, because he can see you're broken.
Builds complex Lego willingly
Doesn't have to ask what he should cook for dinner. Or where the vacuum lives or any such nonsense. Knows what is needed when passing a grocery store
Takes over from you when you are tired, without being asked
Knows what presents to buy for other people's kids
Makes you laugh
Makes you feel loved
Makes you feel not alone, in the best way

Ilovelurchers · 08/04/2023 20:20

Gives up alcohol completely without you even asking him to in order to help you stay sober. (And in doing so, probably saves your life, certainly makes your life worth living.....)

No other man has ever loved me enough to do something like that for me. I love him so much.

mauveiscurious · 08/04/2023 20:25

Always kind, always sees the best in people.

Nursed me back from the brink when I had aggressive cancer.

Told me today his life has been blessed.

He's a keeper
