Nicest/not nice celebs.

1000 replies

bazzabas · 10/03/2023 11:58

Who is the nicest celeb you've met?

On the flip side who was not nice?

I had a friend who met Girl's Aloud after she won a competition.

They waited hours to met them, waiting for them to arrive.

Apparently Nadine was lovely, chatted and genuinely seemed interested to meet them.

Sarah & Nicola not so nice, very mardy and diva-ish.

@FromDespairToHere
Oh yes, you have the measure of Cotton alright. I'm the one who posted earlier about him. Those stories about him will be 100 percent true. An absolute odious little toad. For sure, that guy would not spit on you if you were on fire. And his real name is actually Anthony Dunn. Pretty sure he's an only child.

Pretty sure he's an only child.

If he had been my first born I wouldn't have risked any more either.

Alexa51 · 15/03/2023 10:16

@Emotionalsupportviper ha ha. I think that must have been my reasoning. Plus a mum who was so completely wrapped up in him I didn't think there could possibly be room for another!

You didn’t answer someone else who asked, so I’m also going to ask. What has Antony Cotton being horrible got to do with not having siblings? Sounds like an ignorant dig at only children that says more about you tbh.

I took it to man that he was such a little snot even as a child that his parents decided not to have any more.

*mean

Worked with Martin Clunes once; he was lovely.

I'm sure he was an Easy, Easy, Easy baby 😁

😆😆😆

He is not an only child. He has an older brother.

PilotRochester · 15/03/2023 15:54

Oh that’s so nice to hear, I’ve been in love with him since I was about 13.

familyissues12345 · 15/03/2023 16:37

@LuluLehman , Eddie Redmayne is even more beautiful?! How?!

Trickytreacle · 15/03/2023 20:11

My partner met Jim Carson and Imelda Staunton when they were on holiday and looked round the garden he works at. He said they were absolutely lovely. Couldn't believe how tiny she was but they were both so friendly and chatty and asked lots of questions.Thought they were so friendly and down to earth

Andy from CBBC (the good-looking one) In Andy's Dinosaurs. So nice and friendly and seems just like he is on TV. He lives in Bristol and lots of people see him about. Everyone says the same - he always stops and chats and is v friendly.

Sorry to disappoint everyone on here, but Will Young is indeed an arse. A friend of mine knew him as he was at uni with one of her mates. Completely entitled and up himself..Well known for it apparently.

A friend worked in a shop in Manchester and confirmed Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth) was a regular and v nice.

That’s weird because I was at ArtsEd with Will and he was adored by everyone because he was so lovely. Incredibly polite, kind, intelligent, modest and very talented.

Alexa51 · 15/03/2023 21:05

@Solow12 Sorry if I have it wrong. That is definitely what she told me but obviously very different to your experience! Don't wish to badmouth someone who is nice. I should probably stop sharing my tales now!

Solow12 · 15/03/2023 21:12

Oh don’t apologise! Could have been that he was out of his comfort zone coming to drama school. He was in the Year below and was always asking advice for how to improve.
I have heard other accounts on here of him being not so nice, but that was not our experience of him at all.

CrisPbacon · 15/03/2023 22:53

Wayne and Colleen Rooney. Nice as a couple and individually. Wayne was just lovely with the kids even as a really young lad. I didn't expect to like him but I really did and met both numerous times in various circumstances

William Roach (Ken barlow) playing himself; unpleasant know it all

CrisPbacon · 15/03/2023 22:59

I had to deal with Lewis Capaldi once in a professional capacity. He was ace but the most hilarious person in the conversation was his mum. Its easy to see why hes funny and grounded himself. He was lovely to all my staff

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 15/03/2023 23:08

In a slight reverse of famous people encounters, I was once horribly, unforgivably rude to Rob Green (England goalkeeper, now a pundit). He was so, so sweet in response & I have felt horrendously guilty about it ever since. I thought his shyness was arrogance - he's actually really lovely, and all the times I saw him afterwards, he'd grin and start a chat with me about books & music. I could never bring myself to apologise to him because I'd made such a twat of myself in our first conversation, and hoped he hadn't noticed.

Sorry Rob.

Crystal8559 · 15/03/2023 23:59

Gary Barlow is lovely, met him in York when he was doing a show there last year, he hadn’t changed since we saw him in Blackpool before Take That were famous. Such a nice guy and fascinating to talk to, he’s got a wicked sense of humour too and puts himself down a lot, he’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

Beeinalily · 16/03/2023 14:21

@REP22 I'm disappointed, it makes me laugh to imagine Martin Clunes talking to people like Doc Martin 😁

Well, he did go quite spectacularly postal on a paparazzi weasel he spotted who was hiding in some bushes while he was working. Really wonderful to behold - and completely, utterly justified. He was a hero to many in that instant. 😁😇

Awww….love those two!

RosaMoline · 16/03/2023 16:01

a few more I’ve met;

Patrick Duffy: polite, reserved

Henry Winkler: absolutely amazing. The best.

Christian Slater. Pleasant enough. Shorter than you’d think!

Beeinalily · 16/03/2023 16:22

@REP22 My faith is restored 😆

Posted way back in the thread about Kirsty Allsopp. Can’t believe nobody’s met her?!

My husband has met her, went to her house for a meeting when she did some work for a charity he was involved with many years ago.
Totally as she appears on tv, very engaging.

He was starstruck and took a selfie in her bathroom mirror and sent it to me 😂

My dad knew Alan Rickman and he was absolutely lovely 🥰

I got him to sign a book I hastily bought in Harrods Book Dept. one Xmas Eve! He was very nice and polite.

Sorry, I can't remember what I wrote in my post. I think I meant that he is a physically beautiful young man, and I hadn't really noticed that when I saw him on film.
