My mum is dying. I’m on the train trying to get to her with my DDs. She’s waiting for me. Can people please help me stay distracted. I’m trying to not be a blubbering mess in front of everyone.

According to ol' wiki The Associated Press in 1988,reported that a New York fish and wildlife technician named Richard Thomas had calculated the volume of dirt in a typical 25–30-foot (7.6–9.1 m) long woodchuck burrow and had determined that if the woodchuck had moved an equivalent volume of wood, it could move "about 700 pounds (320 kg) on a good day, with the wind at his back.
Looking quite proud of that is Woodchuck!

I would love a cat. I would also love a horse. Sadly neither are going to happen any time soon.

Wants to be careful that over productive woodchuck. He'll have the woodchuck and groundhog union after him. Be time and motion study next. Upsetting the status quote with his excessive wood chucking malarkey

TimeToLose8 · 01/03/2023 20:19

I'm watching a rubbish film on Netflix with my son's children - 2 adults over here (France) for a visit. Plus grandchild. Grandchild (5 months) is gorgeous and has bonded us a bit more. But goodness me, I had so forgotten how the day is controlled by feeding, napping and pooing. And french nappies seem to leak a lot.

Hope the train is moving again...

There was a family with a very loud (tantruming) toddler at the station. No way would I want to go back to that. DD1 told me that based on that , she doesn’t want children. She had some corker tantrums as a toddler. Shes actually a very good teenager. Quite reasonable. DD2 not so much.

Very North Dordogne, not the pretty pretty bit, but really nice - Perigord Vert, lots of trees and lakes. We walked round one this afternoon - 4 adults baby and 2 dogs...sunny and freezing at the same time

Are you headed yarm/Northallerton way op? If your dh is unable to and you’re this way i could collect if needs be? (Know the nightmare of taxis in these tiny stations!)

glad to hear your back en route now.

are teens as bad as I keep being told? Mine are 6 and 2 and testing at the moment but everyone says just wait until they’re teens!

TimeToLose8 · 01/03/2023 20:27

Agree with your daughter.

My daughter (30, just married) has told me that she doesn't really want children, babies are boring. I really don't blame her.

I don't think I want to be a granny - yet....

tobee · 01/03/2023 20:28

Perigord and puppies! Two of my favourite things.

Would love some more pets. Have 2 guinea pigs. They are autistic adult dd's "thing".
