Can someone PLEASE help me find a holiday. I could literally cry, I'm not being dramatic. I will send you presents. And wine.

Been searching for weeks.

Found something last night. Had to put deposit in bank before paying and it's gone. No AI left and everything thing else seems to have gone up by about £500 overnight.

If anyone can please help because I'm just on the verge of tears.

Requirements.

  • Spain, short 2/2.5hour flight (A must due to autistic child)
  • 6 adults. 2 children. 3 BEDROOMS needed.

-All inclusive.

-A week to 9 days BUT if its a week we need to fly early hours and leave late hours to get a decent first and last day in the sun.

If anyone can find me anything I will send you a present. I'm not even joking. 😂

I had something for 550 each for 9 days all inclusive and its gone. I've actually started crying now. This is so stressful :(

Max budget 5k.

Please help

What the hell is wrong with the bitchy posters on the thread? Does it make you feel big and clever? Are your dreary little lives that empty that you need to put someone down to give you a feeling of importance? Just don't help if you don't want to, it isn't compulsory! There are loads of threads along these lines by the way, this one isn't unique

This ! Why are some so vile on here ? It can be overwhelming booking a holiday abroad, especially your first with lots of requirements!

Happyorchidlady · 01/03/2023 19:11

@Holiwoes what are the ages of the two children? I love (and am very good) at looking for holidays so would happily help if I can find anything :)

People are being mean. Stuff is selling out weirdly quickly at the moment.

We booked our summer holiday at the weekend. All sorted now, but half the apartments/hotels we had shortlisted two days earlier had already gone, and train tickets were selling out under our nose i.e. gone before we checked the basket out 30 mins later.

It is brutal! I needed a breather and strong drink after that one!

It is!

We had a reserve we weren't sure on at all and decided just now to just book it because I don't think we would get any better (mediocre reviews but by beach and in budget) .

It's gone! We looked at it this morning.

The date isn't available at all, just a grey space. And the 2 dates either side have gone up £1000!

Its bizarre.

I'm deathly afraid of ships 😂 Really! I cnat even watch videos of cruise ships. They give me the Willies.

I think it's that things where they are so big that they just look scary. I can't remember the name of it. Like wind turbines and stuff scare me too!

12, 14.

Thankyou. One of the teens is 17, so an adult some sites, child others.

Megalophobia

Yes that's it, thanks.

Sounds like a fear of large sharks!

Will this link work? 3 rooms, 8 nights to Magic Cristal Park Hotel
Benidorm, Costa Blanca, Spain. It's 2 hr 45 flight though. Total cost for all 8 is 4955 for AI.

howmanybicycles · 01/03/2023 19:35

This one is to costa dorado (2 hr 20/ 2h30 flight), same dates, 8 night AI to villmarina club hotel for 5078 www.loveholidays.com/holidays/l?date=2023-07-12&boardBasis=AI&masterId=1469&departureAirports=MAN&rooms=2-14-13%2C2%2C2&nights=8&source=srp

I'm not sure I can help but I will try.

I'm sorry that some people on this thread are being so vile. I don't really understand why people can't simply read and move on.

Mumsnet has changed so much over the last few years that it's made me question whether or not to bother logging in. There are far too many trolls and far too many vile individuals.

Anyway, I understand how stressful it can be when you have to meet so many people's needs and stick to budget whilst also doing something new.

I know I won’t be able to help you because one of my most deplored things is looking for holidays, I just hate it with a passion 😂
fortunately dh and I are very impulsive, literally done and dusted from talking about a holiday to booking something in about 20 minutes most of the time. So I’m not looking because it’s one of those things that just gives me an irrational hatred!
However I do hope you find something and that you enjoy your first holiday abroad with your children 🥳

That's the best way, do it in one day and go

seratoninmoonbeams · 01/03/2023 19:47

It's the three rooms that is making it more expensive I think. Can you manage with two between you?

VanillaSpiceCandle · 01/03/2023 19:55

I’m not sure you’ll get a very nice hotel for that price in the holidays. 3 star could be ok but I think for AI it’s better to go for a higher star rating.

I think you’ll get a much nicer holiday if you book a villa/apartment. Lots have pools but are usually very close to the beach. Would be really cheap to self cater but you could go out for dinner. Also you’ll be able to get cheap flights at times to suit you.

If you’re determined to stay in a hotel I think you should share with your children and then your parents have a separate room. Three rooms is disproportionately more expensive than two.

Most won't allow 6 people in 1 room though.

I've looked at villas but they're mega expensive. More ethan the whole budget and that's without flights and spending money for food.

Unless I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Boo hoo.

ArianahX · 01/03/2023 20:08

@Holiwoes I totally get you, I struggle with MH illness too but unless you do yourself no one understands.
I tried booking a holiday with a friend to a certain city in Europe for May but found it overwhelming so luckily she & another friend took charge and have done it all!! Plus they have a credit card, I can't have one.

I didn't go abroad at all until I was in my mid twenties, but it's amazing & worth the effort once you do go!!

yesterdayisgone · 01/03/2023 20:08

Loveholidays is really good . Go and check your dates and see what there is .

NextPrimeMinister · 01/03/2023 20:12

I feel your pain OP, I'd found 14 nights in Mexico for 3 at £3200 and when I'd gone back to book its gone to £6k. Gutted.
