Can someone PLEASE help me find a holiday. I could literally cry, I'm not being dramatic. I will send you presents. And wine.

Been searching for weeks.

Found something last night. Had to put deposit in bank before paying and it's gone. No AI left and everything thing else seems to have gone up by about £500 overnight.

If anyone can please help because I'm just on the verge of tears.

Requirements.

  • Spain, short 2/2.5hour flight (A must due to autistic child)
  • 6 adults. 2 children. 3 BEDROOMS needed.

-All inclusive.

-A week to 9 days BUT if its a week we need to fly early hours and leave late hours to get a decent first and last day in the sun.

If anyone can find me anything I will send you a present. I'm not even joking. 😂

I had something for 550 each for 9 days all inclusive and its gone. I've actually started crying now. This is so stressful :(

Max budget 5k.

Please help

The travel agent I tried for a different trip had very little left and was more expensive, and I’m usually one to book with a travel agent. This time we booked online.

BarbaraofSeville · 01/03/2023 16:47

Another vote for a travel agent, who should be able to help you find your room requirements.

Or look in the deals section of the Jet2holidays website or possibly ask Hays Travel, I think they sell Jet2.

Also, it won't help you now, but this is why people need credit cards. Everyone on here always says 'I don't have a credit card I don't need one' but here we are again with another problem that wouldn't have arisen if the OP had a credit card to put the deposit on.

This is what travel agencies are for. Chill out lol

I thought this BUT the last twice I've been in to travel agencies, and the last time I called a travel company by phone, all said that they can only see what it already online and can't always match the online price. I questioned what the point was then - apparently it's because some people don't mind paying more to get someone else to look for them.

So although a travel agents will find what you want don't expect them to be cheaper. That's my experience anyway.

BarbaraofSeville · 01/03/2023 16:51

Does it have to be all inclusive? With that budget, you could probably get a nice 3 bed villa/apartment/bungalow on SC or B&B and eat out once or twice a day and eat on the terrace the rest of the time.

Just make sure you're in walking distance to a supermarket/convenience store for drinks, food, ice creams etc, also restaurants etc and make sure all the DC do their share of shopping, preparing food and clearing up afterwards.

33goingon64 · 01/03/2023 16:52

The prices going up thing can be an algorithm that recognises your IP address and inflates the price the next time you search. Especially flights websites do this. Not sure what the answer is other than searching from a different device. Try clearing your cookies etc.

I can't get a credit card. I don't have a working income due to disabilities. But thanks for the advice :)

Agree a villa would be better, some are attached to hotels so you can use the facilities.

onepieceoflollipop · 01/03/2023 16:56

@Holiwoes
this one (screenshot) fits pretty much all your criteria apart from being half board not AI

Airport is 16 miles from the hotel at the other end (transfers not included on that website though- learn from my mistake!)

it’s an morning flight on the day out and a p.m. flight on the way back

Also the one above is 3 rooms - one of the rooms is for 2 adults, 2 children.
the other two rooms have 2 adults in each - obviously I don’t know if that is the right combination you wanted,
. Smile

OP, I hope you aren't literally asking strangers on the internet to give up their valuable time to act like travel agents, for free?!

RoseBucket · 01/03/2023 17:11

@PandasAreUseless whats the issue? People are not forced to help are they?

I love looking for holidays and would happily do it for free or to help someone out. I often browse flights and hotels even when I’m not booking 🤷🏻‍♀️

onepieceoflollipop · 01/03/2023 17:15

OP have any of the links/suggestions/screenshots been helpful to you?
good luck with whatever you decide.

What? Like when people ask people to help them find the perfect pram? Or ask for advice on what they can do to sell a house quicker?

Or when, like 99% of threads on here, people vent about things going on in their lives to get feedback and advice like... unpaid therapists?

Get a grip.

People will only search if they want to, I'm hardly holding anyone hostage 😂

Thanks for the replies. Will have a look at links.

Really appreciate it.

Like I said, I've never booked a holiday abroad at all in my life so it's quite overwhelming trying to find something for 8 people in budget.

My kids break up Fri 14th July but I've been looking from Wed 12th.

It seems most schools break up 21st so I'm hoping it just a bit out of peak.

There seemed to be options a few weeks ago but now that I have the deposit money everything I have saved has gone up or sold out.

Can you look at the Tuesday 11th? You won’t get fined as it’s still under 5 days missed school x

gogohmm · 01/03/2023 17:16

I've used travel republic and hayes travel in the past to put together a non standard package. Otherwise I would see what you can get flights for (use Skyscanner for the best prices) tgen book the hotel independently. It's pretty tight for ai in July, my DD's always finished that week and it's not more than a small saving because all the private schools are already out

incognitodorrito · 01/03/2023 17:16

Can you fly from Liverpool & are you flexible 3 days +- ?

2bazookas · 01/03/2023 17:16

Just take your requirements to the nearest local travel agent office and they will find what you want.

If you can't get to a TA office, go online to somewhere reliable like Trailfinders; they'll find your requirements and book everything for you.

No need for all the drama.

Our local authority has no minimum. Parents can be fined for a single day if the school chooses to. Your local authority should have published something which sets out the criteria for a fine.

Make sure that you don't need a credit card, I've been to hotels that didn't accept debit or required a deposit on arrival. As an aside TUI didn't take a card imprint at their own hotel

Ifyoudreamofsanddunes · 01/03/2023 17:19

Ooh I love this kind of stuff! I'm currently sat in the car while my daughters are at football training so this will keep me busy!

Silversalt · 01/03/2023 17:20

I don't know if this is helpful but the first week of the summer holidays isnot only the most expensive week of the year it's also the most in demand. The last week of the school holidays is much less in demand and a bit cheaper.
If you are on a tight budget all inclusive is useful because you don't have to guess how much spending money you need.
Agree Jet2 are the best company to try.

Ifyoudreamofsanddunes · 01/03/2023 17:21

Do you want a hotel with transfers included from the airport or a villa and you hire cars?
