Can someone PLEASE help me find a holiday. I could literally cry, I'm not being dramatic. I will send you presents. And wine.

Been searching for weeks.

Found something last night. Had to put deposit in bank before paying and it's gone. No AI left and everything thing else seems to have gone up by about £500 overnight.

If anyone can please help because I'm just on the verge of tears.

Requirements.

  • Spain, short 2/2.5hour flight (A must due to autistic child)
  • 6 adults. 2 children. 3 BEDROOMS needed.

-All inclusive.

-A week to 9 days BUT if its a week we need to fly early hours and leave late hours to get a decent first and last day in the sun.

If anyone can find me anything I will send you a present. I'm not even joking. 😂

I had something for 550 each for 9 days all inclusive and its gone. I've actually started crying now. This is so stressful :(

Max budget 5k.

Please help

The travel company have just cancelled a holiday that I have wanted to go on since before Covid. Booked 3.5 years ago (cancelled) and again 12 months ago (cancelled). I am very cross and disappointed but I didn't feel it necessary to burst into tears.

I'm very sorry your holiday was cancelled.

I also had one booked for 2020, cancelled. We have also been trying to get away for years.

I'm also very happy for you that you have such good resilience and such things don't upset you easily, I wish I was built the same I guess.

I hope you manage to find a holiday again.

I was about to ask the same thing. Cannes/Nice is nice when sunny but not touristy.

Forecast doesn't seem promising, I hope our dear OP will have some luck

Yeah if you are willing to go to France OP there's options there

Holiwoes · 01/03/2023 17:47

Danniotley · 01/03/2023 17:25

How about this one. Only 7 nights but under £5k.

Is this for 8 people? It's coming up much more for me at half board?

The lovely pictures of sunny pools and beaches is cheering my drizzly day up in the Midlands, hopefully you’ll get one sorted in the next day or two

cassiatwenty · 01/03/2023 17:49

If France, Antibes highly recommended. There's lots of nature, you can swim, and it's not overcrowded

SlashBeef · 01/03/2023 17:50

Some of these responses are feral 😆 why are people so triggered by a holiday?!

Igniteyourbones · 01/03/2023 17:51

I’ve had the same thing this week - all the holidays I’ve been looking at this week suddenly went up around £200 per person yesterday………. It was pay day for most people, so the cost of holidays goes up with the added demand of lots of people online looking and booking holidays. I’m going to wait a couple of weeks and see if prices go down mid month 🤞🏼but then maybe I’m fooling myself!

Sago1 · 01/03/2023 17:51

Ring dial a flight, they will call you back or email with options.

@SirGawain Would you like a medal? A round of applause? Or maybe some practical advice on how to be a helpful and caring person, because you don't seem to be either of those things.

Noln · 01/03/2023 17:52

How old are the children?

ThankYouVeryMuchGerry · 01/03/2023 17:52

Clear your history and cookies or use a private browsing window - companies always put the price up as soon as they see someone looking at holiday, train fare etc. Good luck!

cassiatwenty · 01/03/2023 17:56

@SirGawain

What's wrong with bursting into tears? 🧐

Whichwhatnow · 01/03/2023 17:59

OP there's loads on OnTheBeach for your dates. I found a couple of four star AI hotels (which look lovely) for 9 days for your budget! I think you'd need 9 days (or at least 8) as the flights all seem to go out in the afternoon and come back in the morning.

I would be tempted by this one purely for the name, but it's also AI, 9 nights, four star, 3 rooms etc etc (hopefully the link works, if not it's the Tossa Beach Centre!)

How about this?
www.loveholidays.com/holidays/l?date=2023-07-13&boardBasis=AI&masterId=374049&departureAirports=MAN&rooms=2-5%2C2-10%2C2&nights=9&source=srp

I filtered by 4 star plus and high trip advisor reviews and got just this one, could be meaner with the ratings and get more options x

Have you tried the classic clearing your cookies/web history and trying again?

I was going to suggest this - the prices go up each time you look on the same device.

SaltyGod · 01/03/2023 18:00

Gah, why do some people have to be so nasty to someone just looking for some help and sympathy. Leave the poor woman alone if you can't say anything nice.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday OP. There seem to be some decent options and you have lots of time left to sort it.

P.s I've burst into tears over many stupider things than holiday bookings. You cry if you want to!

Noln · 01/03/2023 18:01

Agree with using private browsing, I've sat next to someone looking at holidays and we've been given different prices for the same one!

I've never noticed this happen and I'm the classic 'search around in circles for hours' so certainly have multiple searches going on.

Beautifulsunflowers · 01/03/2023 18:04

I understand the stress op! It’s horrible looking for ages and finding the perfect holiday only for it to not be available the next day. Tears of frustration!
Anyway, I find travel republic quite good or on the beach.
good luck, hope you get your perfect holiday

Holiwoes · 01/03/2023 18:06

Thanks so much for the suggestions.

Going to make dinner, have a break and read through the thread tonight.

Re-Reading my OP now I'm a bit calmer, yes I was being silly and a bit hysterical but that how I felt at that moment! It really was the perfect holiday for us and Poof, gone!

This accommodation, eight nights leaving July 12

Won’t let me send the link but it is booking.com for Mallorca

Sky scanner for flights, with Tui for £1500 or ryanair for £700 - I had to guess she’s for the kids, I picked flights 12 to 20.

What about a keycamp or eurocamp holiday in South of France or Spain? Book your holiday home (they are pretty large) then pick your own flights.
There are some lovely sites in Europe

OP, maybe not on Mumsnet but in the real world, there is a cost of living crisis and many many people cannot afford a holiday, so yes you ARE being really annoying dramatic. Hmm
