To nobody’s surprise, the frantic pace of this latest game means that the last thread is full and (as far as I can see) <polishes lorgnette> we don’t yet have a successor. So, off we go with a Brunswick Lateral to

Russell Square

And just re the Blenheim Palace meet, the turbot was acquitted of all charges IIRC

HazelBite · 27/10/2023 06:46

Too much reminiscing going on here, the game needs to be concentrated on therefore I 'm going with a rear transverse to Bank ( by the way knickerbocker are a bad look)

LlynTegid · 27/10/2023 18:43

@HazelBite the DLR rule is the only way out now, to Shadwell.

FinsburyCircus · 27/10/2023 19:20

Flirting with Nidd there LlynTegid, but I think we can safely proceed to Old Street under the Clapham Convention. * *

DuckonaBike · 27/10/2023 20:56

Well it’s a Friday and nearly full moon, so how about a diagonal to Elephant & Castle

LlynTegid · 28/10/2023 07:28

I think we can safely remain south of the river and so a move to Stockwell.

TragicMuse · 28/10/2023 09:02

Shenfield. IYKYK

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/10/2023 09:50

Really? Really! Let sanity prevail with a longitudinal slide to

Pimlico

OP posts:
HazelBite · 28/10/2023 11:50

All I can say to that is Finsbury Park!

FinsburyCircus · 28/10/2023 18:08

Wonderful, the game is proceeding apace...

I'm keen to see if this works, so a risky Theydon Bois

LlynTegid · 29/10/2023 07:42

There is nothing wrong with a slow game of the game of games, though I understand the enjoyment @FinsburyCircus refers to. There are people who think that five days for a cricket match is a long time, people who cannot have been MC players.

Slowly moving to Roding Valley

Flumpaphone · 29/10/2023 09:22

Ah if it is the slow game then I think today is the only day this is allowed as the clocks have gone back an hour making the reverse possible

Balham

MarkWithaC · 29/10/2023 20:18

A very different tenor prevails this weekend. I rather like it.

Greenford, with my second-to-last Mittelschaft.

DuckonaBike · 29/10/2023 20:51

Very elegant, Mark. I think we can continue in similar vein with a lateral to Lancaster Gate.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/10/2023 21:00

Nothing behoves a Sunday evening more than

Oxford Circus

OP posts:
FinsburyCircus · 29/10/2023 22:29

At the back of the weekend, a lazy slide to Tooting Bec feels right.

HazelBite · 29/10/2023 23:24

No surely the best way of not ending up in Nidd is to go to Turnpike Lane

TragicMuse · 30/10/2023 17:02

Ah. But...hmmm. Oh you have twisted me arm. I hate to play it but needs must...

Kensal Rise.

No. Don't ask. I can't discuss it, the super-injunction y'know. And the Contessa made me promise.

MarkWithaC · 30/10/2023 17:33

Hatch End
if only to avoid the semi-stalsis threatened by that last move.

DuckonaBike · 30/10/2023 19:49

Steady on!

Caledonian Road & Barnsbury should have a calming influence.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/10/2023 20:12

If it’s a calming influence you seek,

Westminster

OP posts:
HazelBite · 30/10/2023 21:30

Nowhere can be as calming as Chalfont and Latimer

LlynTegid · 31/10/2023 07:06

Except if you play the closed lines rule and move to Brill.

FinsburyCircus · 31/10/2023 12:16

Oh that's interesting, seems like a number of you subscribe to the Rudgwick school of thought?

Traditionalists would tut at the previous few moves but I'm a broadminded sort and can play the modern rules with the best of them.

With that in mind, City Thameslink. Classic Rudgwick move!* *

MarkWithaC · 31/10/2023 16:11

Rudgwick has a lot to commend it but comes a cropper, IMO, when you start looking at the play around the centred Minsk, particularly as it pertains to the Bakerloo.

Thinking of Rudgwick does inspire a person, though; I'd have never otherwise seen that I could call a full-and-bye to

Cyprus.
