To nobody’s surprise, the frantic pace of this latest game means that the last thread is full and (as far as I can see) <polishes lorgnette> we don’t yet have a successor. So, off we go with a Brunswick Lateral to

Russell Square

Interesting use of the walking between stations to interchange rule.

North Wembley

HazelBite · 20/04/2023 15:46

I think I can go to Ickenham wiithout causing any problems?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/04/2023 16:39

From there, I’m going to follow a suggestion of the Colonel’s and head for the all-night festival of the game of games, held in the back room of the laundrette on

Turnpike Lane

Following Parnell’s similar name rule for weekday moves I can select

TragicMuse · 21/04/2023 09:01

Please forgive my absence, I have been slightly hors de combat.

The Archbish had a relapse and it fell to me to buy up the county's stock of absinthe to prevent him getting his hands on it. Fortunately his driving licence and old cleric's railcard have both been revoked so his transport options are limited. Though I do wish Teddy hadn't ever told him about the man who went shopping on a tractor. Luckily we don't have a tractor.

Anyway. It took DAYS to get it all. Now I don't know what to do with the stuff. It's currently in the barn. It anyone wants some of La Fée Verte do drop me a line.

Liverpool Street station

HazelBite · 21/04/2023 09:41

@TragicMuse what an exciting life you lead! Mine seems so terribly drab in comparison so I'm going to slink off to Moor Park (Its very quiet there)

LlynTegid · 21/04/2023 10:05

I will slink a bit further to Croxley.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 21/04/2023 10:35

Oh, TragicMuse, how very vexing for you, but how commendable that you have prevented yet another of those unfortunate occurrences to which the Archbishop is so prone. And perhaps we might hold the next summer school in the barn, with refreshment, so to speak, on tap?

As ever, when I need to feel alive

Heathrow Terminal 4

DuckonaBike · 22/04/2023 20:33

Well done Tragic! It sounds as if you have been very resourceful in keeping the absinthe away from His Grace. We certainly wouldn’t want a repeat of what happened last time. I believe they had to redecorate the entire ground floor at the palace, and the alpacas had to be rehomed. A bad business.

Splendid idea, Knickers. Can I volunteer to be followed by twelve angry ducks? I shouldn’t mind that at all. In fact I think I’d rather like it. I would allow them to catch up with me and win them over with sausages.

Good luck with Janice. I remember the District Line debacle well. Does she still have the piano accordion?

Kilburn Park

LlynTegid · 23/04/2023 10:32

I'm not sure my creative writing skills would be up to the task unfortunately, though the suggestion is a good one.

Marylebone

HazelBite · 23/04/2023 12:43

I'm currently visiting Wales a good venue for a meet up (plenty of mist) I'll be home soon so I may go with Watford

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/04/2023 14:06

Oh, poor Janice. She’s been rather fragile since, blinded by absinthe and exhausted by the all-night game at the laundrette, she and the Colonel attempted to drive the Hispano-Suiza the wrong way round the Hanger Lane gyratory system. Good job the custody sergeant was also a devotee of the game of games.

The use of the London Overground takes me ultimately to Tottenham Hale

TragicMuse · 24/04/2023 15:32

Ahhhh, Farringdon. Naturally.

Do give my fondest to Janice. I have quite forgiven her and the scars are nearly gone.

Daisy put in a lot of elbow grease and with judicious application of some of Mrs Panxworth's special solution we got most of the stains out...

Oh, Janice. You know you’re supposed to be back at the hostel by 9pm; if not, the tag will bleep and your probation officer will be alerted. Knickers will call a cab for you, I’m sure, and if you shin up the drainpipe and climb in through the bathroom window (as, we heard, you did after that infamous bar crawl thorough Aberdeen after the ‘85 semi-finals) you might get away with it.

Peace I hope has happened after the badminton. Missing University Challenge where I am sure one of the team captains took part in the 1997 tournament I am disappointed to read about.

Woodside Park

DuckonaBike · 25/04/2023 07:08

There have certainly been some shenanigans in my absence. I do hope things (and Janice) are back under control. It would probably be advisable to count the spoons.
