This made me smile so much.

Two small kids chatting to one another in the next cubicle after their swim.

they were clearly very impressed by the skills of a slightly older child.

“I think she’s a proper swimmer, she has one of those things on her head to cover her hair like they do in the Olympics, and she’s wearing a yellow band, which means she gets to stay in longer than us. She must be training for the Olympics.”

All this at a regular splash and play session in the council pool!

Lovely:
'You bring out the best in me and make me want to be a better person.' ExH - we are still friends after 21 yrs together and a further 10yrs successfully Co parenting.

'Never put a boy ahead of your friends when you're just dating' my Mum and those words served me well as I still have friends from nearly 40yrs ago.

Funny:
'I don't know why you think you can tell me off, you're not even big enough to be a grown up' 4yr old daughter (I am tiny). She's 24 now and yes she is bigger than me!

Bad: exP (coersive and controlling and this is one of many many accusations)
'I don't know why you stare at every man you see, do you think they fancy you?' As he made me face the wall in a restaurant. I didn't stare and I didn't think that. Luckily I escaped him a few years ago and reported his behaviour to the police.

On a crowded, extremely hot train with tiny DS who basically wanted to breastfeed the entire journey (and it was the Eurostar so it was a long journey).

There was a toddler in the seats across the aisle from us who was very chatty, observing everything, voice at top volume. He was very cute and very toddlery. He saw me feeding DS (I hadn't got the hang of doing one up one down with my tops at that point, DS really was very tiny, so my whole boob was popped out) and stared for a couple of seconds and his eyes LIT UP. I knew he was going to say something, his dad knew he was going to say something and desperately tried to distract him but no....

'THAT BABY IS EATING HIS MUMMY'S BOOBIES! LOOK HE'S EATING ALLL OF HER BOOBY'

Whole carriage starting chuckling. I laughed and the dad was mortified, tried to apologise but there was no need. Toddler was delighted by the reaction of the carriage and held forth for most of the journey about babies eating boobies and why that might be 😃
