What's the most exciting thing that's happene to you this weekend? I'm willing to bet nobody can beat mine

Yesterday I sprayed Viakal on my bathroom mirror instead of glass cleaner.

What do you mean "And?". That's it. That's the most exciting part of my weekend (so far). Jealous anyone?

Actually, more immediately ‘exciting’ was the bus journey home yesterday, when some idiot steered directly in front of the bus, and the bus driver swerved into a metal railing. Big dent in the side of the bus, shouts of ‘fucking wanker! Bellend!’ from the driver. I thought the bus driver was about to implode, frantic calls to the depot, nobody injured. Long wait for the next bus 😩

MusicWithRocksIn · 05/02/2023 20:21

We just had a power cut so that was quite exciting. I'm glad it came back on after 5 minutes though.

It made us realise how unprepared we are so tomorrow I will be looking around the house for torches, candles, etc and putting them somewhere accessible.

I realised that I have enough room in the cupboard under the sink to put my simple human bin, as well as the basket of various cleaning products.
So that's what I did.

bloodywhitecat · 05/02/2023 20:23

@Believers Friday night we had sleep. Last night normal service was resumed but it was nice while it lasted!

ScandinavianSkies · 05/02/2023 20:25

Well I squirted a big healthy dose of washing-up liquid into the kettle instead of washing-up bowl. Took a while to sort that out...

Wait! I need to know more about the human bin! A bin to put humans in? Or something else?!

I hoovered out the inside of my car … crazy times ! … found a yo-yo and a Percy pig which had glued itself to the back foot carpet… am off now to apply some bazooka to DD’s everlasting veruca.. it’s all go here …

blacksax · 05/02/2023 20:30

I noticed that there was a cat turd on the floor next to the litter tray. Mentioned it to DH, who went and cleared it up.

monicagellerbing · 05/02/2023 20:33

I was late to the party but now own an Oodie, I have worn it literally all weekend night and day. I love it

I got my first ever positive Covid test.

Me too!
How are you doing? I feel rotten.

DartholomewSpaceInvader · 05/02/2023 20:35

I got a whiff of someone else's roast dinner cooking and then I sat and thought about my childhood for a while.

reddwarfgeek · 05/02/2023 20:37

I woke up early today so when partner and DD were still asleep, I locked myself in the bathroom and had a wank.
Still unsure whether women can say that?
Anyway I'm probably going to hell 🤣

ToBeOrNotToBee · 05/02/2023 20:37

Well I've just come back from a weekend in a hotel in Central London with a lovely Swiss businessman I matched with on OLD.

3 full days of sex, sightseeing and drinking in pubs.

Wonderful.

I wrestled my naked cat into a fleece jumper so he won’t be cold.

he has been walking backwards around the house all evening trying to reverse out of it.

😂😂😂

I really want a photo!

Izzabellasasperella · 05/02/2023 20:42

I went to see an Elvis impersonator and stayed in the cheapest hotel in Bournemouth.

illiterato · 05/02/2023 20:42

I realised what this random remote control I found when we moved in is for. It’s for some LED lights that the previous owner attached to the bottom of the cupboards in the sitting room. They are tacky as hell so I will never use them. I will however retain the remote “just in case”.

Ooh, Hedwig?

No, Creator. It's really quite lovely

Magpiecomplex · 05/02/2023 20:48

I bought a new pair of boots (not for me) and a new coat (also not for me). Very exciting.

That is in no way in keeping with the spirit of the thread, but well done you, it sounds excellent.

Callingallbutterflies · 05/02/2023 20:51

@believers we live up a track and the farmer rents his fields out either side. The current sheep are also quite adventurous and like to attempt escape. This one was tangled up by its horns in the wire and up to its belly in boggy water, so I traversed a ditch via islands of reeds, balanced on one leg, unhooked its horns and shooed it away out of the boggy area. Sheep are daft.

DuchessOfDisco · 05/02/2023 20:52

I gave the dog a bath. He was quite excitable after that

Brand that makes bins and doesn't believe in capital letters.

I spent the day on ancestry and discovered that an old rumour that my grandfather had told me has some truth. Some interesting historical research to do now.
Very exciting!

Took an emery board to my toenails.
Had 3 siestas.
