Yesterday I sprayed Viakal on my bathroom mirror instead of glass cleaner.

What do you mean "And?". That's it. That's the most exciting part of my weekend (so far). Jealous anyone?

Our orange-handled kitchen scissors had been missing for a week. I found them today. They were on the dining table.

In other exciting news, I went to a garden centre and didn't buy anything.

Thanks Grin

I got a proof copy of a book that’s not out until March that I wanted to read, yay me! Much reading to do to get caught up📚

Cherrysoup · 05/02/2023 20:00

Scrubbed part of the kitchen floor (textured fucking laminate, it needs an actual scrubbing brush), moaned to my DH how hard it was then followed him round with the mop as he finished scrubbing! Thrilling!

To be fair, yesterday was more exciting, we drove to Ealing to buy a new car. Traffic was terrible. I had to drive home cause my DH obviously needed to drive the new car.

MotherOfUnicorns4 · 05/02/2023 20:00

I drove a 5 hour round trip to pick my mother in law up from the airport. I got a hot chocolate out of it. Proper exciting Sunday!

Season0fTheWitch · 05/02/2023 20:02

I managed to fit into my pre-kids (four of them) jeans today! Silently thrilled (considering how many McDonald's breakfasts and starbucks frappucinos I've consumed since having DD 4 months ago) but playing it cool 😎

FunnyItWorkedLastTime · 05/02/2023 20:02

I went to buy some new face stuff in Boots and stacked my vouchers so effectively that I got £10.30 worth of points on a £48 pound spend.

FunnyItWorkedLastTime · 05/02/2023 20:03

Oh and I finished everything I wanted to watch on Apple TV and cancelled my 3 month free trial with two days to spare.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 05/02/2023 20:04

I spent an hour stuck in traffic with my VERY talkative 11yo DS.

CleaningOutMyCloset · 05/02/2023 20:05

I put a deposit down on a car I've wanted since before i had children. This is a car i
owned, pre kids and had to sell because I got pregnant and couldn't get out of the car whilst being pregnant and it was too small to have a baby and pram. I sold it when I was 8 months pregnant and cried. My dd is now 15 and I've just ordered the same make and model - I'm so excited

BoringLittleMe · 05/02/2023 20:05

I drilled two small holes in an outside wall for a bracket and then screwed a solar-powered light to the bracket.

And I wiped some yoghurt off the floor after DC's dinner.

Orangebadger · 05/02/2023 20:06

The whole family, dog includes came down with norovirus... thrilling!!

Sexypyjamas · 05/02/2023 20:07

Got myself an eye test. New glasses ordered with, wait for it, 'anti glare'. I got completely carried away. Ordered a second pair on buy one get one half price. The excitement has left me exhausted.

Myfluffyblanket · 05/02/2023 20:07

I emptied my rotten garden shed ; found several rats nests and a riddler full of sprouty daffodil bulbs .
Weeded the pond . Did a partial water exchange . Counted the baby goldfish (still two) .

newtb · 05/02/2023 20:08

I completed a massive application pack for a mortgage broker. Then found a template and emailed my landlord asking for official rent receipts going back 5 years as also need those.
Really thrilling stuff!!

Picked nits from my daughters hair.

Picked nits from my own hair.

Hot washed every item of bedding/ clothing / blankets and towels in the house.

Ignored my electricity consumption. 😩 Nits have no respect for the cost of living crisis.

I used to love de-nitting my children’s hair. So therapeutic.

I used that viakal stuff to get rid of of limescale from round my kitchen tap. Liked doing that too 🥳

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 05/02/2023 20:12

I rearranged my toiletries cupboard and fixed the broken chain on a ceiling fan. Can barely stand the adrenaline!

IronicElf · 05/02/2023 20:12

We went to IKEA (long drive from mine) to look at desks for DD2. She bought 2 plastic plants for her room no desk then we drove home (via McDonalds).

handsoffate · 05/02/2023 20:12

I watched dh cut the lawn, and took a quick turn around the garden to look for snowdrops. Which have mysteriously disappeared.

BeyondMyWits · 05/02/2023 20:14

wellpaddedintherear · 05/02/2023 19:32

I scooped all the dead leaves off the grass and put them into piles (which wont rot but at least they are not scattered all over the garden)

@BeyondMyWits i once did the same-I stood up
couldnt walk for two weeks

my life is so rock ‘n’ roll

Jigsaw puzzles... who knew they could be so dangerous... need a warning on the box.

UnattendedPotato · 05/02/2023 20:15

Colonoscopy no anasthetic cause I'm a badass Wink, and if you know anything about preparing for one - it was very much a shitty weekend.

AliceLiddle · 05/02/2023 20:15

Mine & DH’s best friend thought we were trying to tell him I was pregnant when we were actually trying to tell him that we were planning a party for him that everyone else t thinks is going to be a surprise party. Awkward. I am absolutely not pregnant (and actually want DH to have a vasectomy but we didn’t tell him that part).

Candlesamdyoga · 05/02/2023 20:15

I managed to eat a slice of garlic bread after being hungover all day. Not even from a big party.

whirlyhead · 05/02/2023 20:17

I wrestled my naked cat into a fleece jumper so he won’t be cold.

he has been walking backwards around the house all evening trying to reverse out of it.

icanneverthinkofnc · 05/02/2023 20:17

I played 'ball' with the dog, she won't play 'fetch' outside...only indoors..our front room is small, she is large..but she acts like its the best thing ever..
