I’ve give up smoking I’ve got a vape a good one I haven’t smoked since yesterday. This is so hard I really want one I want nothing more.
Im 36 and need to stop now I smoke up to 20 a day sometimes my skin has gone rubbish my hair is snapping my teeth have had better days.
my only reason for quitting at the moment is vanity and I’ve promised my children they keep nagging me to stop and their scared I will die young.
I know all this I know it’s bad for you but will I always miss it ? My morning coffee and fag my pudding fag I want to stop so much but I feel like something js missing will this go ?
Im avoiding the shop today I will buy some if I go in there today the worst bit is sometimes the man even gets my fags for me before I even ask lol it’s terrible I feel like I can’t go in if he does that I will have them help me see the benefits

Well done!!

Yaaaaay! I've got £120 saved for a holiday next year, adding to it each month with what I spent in baccy. With the money I spent on skins and filters, I treat myself with little things.

I’ve got £300 now saved I smoked proper fags. I would of spent more but only put some away! How you feeling ?

Hypnotherapy is your friend - I promise!

This. I quit after a single hypnotherapy session. 21 years ago. Best £50 spent ever I must of saved thousands over the years.

I gave up and had strong cravings for a few months but they pass. Pretty quickly the thought of smoking became quite disgusting. Don't give in or you'll never get to that stage.

8 freaking weeks. How fucking amazing are we?

Northernsouloldies · 23/03/2023 18:56

Well done from an ex smoker of 40a day, now stopped 16yrs.it will be one of the best things you can do.

OnedayIwillfeelfree · 23/03/2023 19:01

The best advice someone gave me - having one won’t stop you wanting one. So why bother? It’s very hard I know. I smoked for 25 years, gave up 13 years ago. Ask your dr for Champix. Good luck, you can do it.

Mabelface · 24/03/2023 11:17

We've already done it. 😉 it'll be 8 weeks next Wednesday.

sashh · 28/03/2023 03:57

Just popping on to cheer lead.

Well done ladies, keep it up.

You're doing absolutely brilliantly!!

I haven't quit as yet and am full of admiration as it can be hard!

I'm getting a cup of tea later and reading the entire thread :)

Really well! The vape is going once I've run out of juice. I've barely any nicotine in it now, and it's not the first thing I put my hands on in the morning.

I'm going away due a few days next week. I love that I can stay anywhere without worrying about needing somewhere to smoke.

Yes or thinking of a lighter used to do my head in. Have a nice holiday 🥰
