Man spreading on the bus *pic*

I'm currently on the bus. It's busy. Had to ask this dick to move his bag so I could sit. He did, however didn't move his legs so I made room for myself and pushed his leg over a bit when I sat. He didn't move. He hasn't moved. I felt a bit ick with him touching me so have crossed my a leg a bit and am using my foot to keep his leg off me.....he pretending to be asleep, eyes tight closed.

I hope I've marked his trousers. He's not moved though...I'm pushing a bit and have a steadfastly got on my foot against him and the front of the bus.

I want to ask him really loud if he has something wrong with his testicles and that's why he is taking up so much space. 🙄

It really makes me angry.

Rant over.

Artist's impression

I love this 😅

Or maybe she could have chosen the normal adult response, and asked him to move over a bit, if she did not have enough room.

I think you should look into the extent to which groups which have less status feel able to behave freely towards groups which have greater status. Your mind will be blown.

MrsHutch3029 · 26/01/2023 23:31

This guy is an AH and manspreading is not necessary. If it was, my DP would have to do it, yet doesn’t. I take up more room than him with my massive backside.

CallieQ · 27/01/2023 01:27

@WinterDeWinter

I think if that were the case (which it isn't - he could swing them to the left and sit up straighter) he should apologise no?

No. OP should apologise for putting her dirty boot on his jeans

ricepuddin · 27/01/2023 04:00

That's a good idea. I'm very very tiny and men always manspread far into my seat. I wouldn't be brave enough to do this but next time I'll lodge a separator like my bag firmly against their thighs.

thefamous5 · 27/01/2023 04:57

I'm 5ft 11 with 34 inch legs.

The rare occasion I have to use public transport I manage to not encroach on others space, even with bags.

bbqchickenandsalad · 27/01/2023 05:27

The man's side of the argument 😂😂😂

'I was airing my balls!'

cassiatwenty · 27/01/2023 13:46

O OP!

XV

yea truth and justice then

Will down return to men,

Orbed in a rainbow; and like glories wearing

Mercy will sit between

Throned in celestial sheen,

With radiant boots the tissued clouds down steering,

And Heaven as at some festival,

Will open wide the gates of His high pallace hall 💞🙃😻

cassiatwenty · 27/01/2023 13:48

OP, your partner can stay at home watching E4.

Nobody has to know!

Will you go to Keele with me? Come hither!

No more shopping for clothes at Tesco's, only Hugo Boss, I'll pay, you can get our bus tickets sorted and that bus steward 😅😎😘

purplebunny2012 · 27/01/2023 17:46

It looks like if he legs were together his knees would be right in the back of the seat in front, so I feel somewhat sorry for him

Bluelightbaby · 27/01/2023 17:54

My partner is 6’5 and very big built. He often has to sit legs apart as his femur is too long to fit. Planes are the worst :(:(
I would hope people would be tolerant of him as nothing he can do about his femur length !

Presumably he has the social grace to say to a person who sits next to him “I’m sorry, my legs are sticking into your space but I really can’t do anything about it” though?

BadNomad · 27/01/2023 17:57

Why can all these super-long-legged men not just turn both their legs to the same side? The side that is pointing away from the person sitting next to them.

cassiatwenty · 27/01/2023 17:59

@Catnary 😻👏👑🚌

minou123 · 27/01/2023 18:21

And, why can all the super long legged women, (you know, the ones with long femurs), capable of sitting without encroaching in others spaces, yet men can't?

I've never seen tall women sit on a bus with their legs spread out
.....Well I have, but that was on a night bus on a Saturday night, which is another thread entirely.

Ineke · 27/01/2023 18:24

Just wake him up and shove over to the left saying you want your own seat Space too, or push his leg right over with your foot. Or else try coughing and spluttering his direction! He may decide to move a bit away from you then.

Harryisabollock · 27/01/2023 18:28

I had a guy stood in front of me on a very busy train - everyone standing in the aisles tightly packed for 1hr, unbearably hot etc. I'm quite short and he had a rucksack on his back which was hitting me in the face- I asked him to take it off and he refused. So I unzipped all the little pockets and flaps. Amazing the amount of stuff that fell out when he got off :). Twat.

Exdpisatwat · 27/01/2023 18:37

Men do NOT need to manspread! I'm 5' 11" and don't need to spread my legs wide on public transport. Knees together and off to the side, or legs slightly open with ankles crossed. Ex dp is 6' 4" and is very respectful of a stranger's personal space (absolute twat in other areas but that's another thread).

crosspusscrossstitcher · 27/01/2023 18:40

I give no fucks anymore and womanspread as often as possible.

He would definitely have woken up/been aroused Blush <cough> from his slumber if I'd been sitting next to/on him.

cassiatwenty · 27/01/2023 18:41

This was actually a very warm and polite gesture, letting the other person know that they were there for them via physical proximity and his aura 😇

And that bus steward couldn't attack anyone otherwise he would have been kicked with that boot 🌟

Ballroom.

Although, a couple of pickled onions don't take up a whole seat.

Hmm1234 · 27/01/2023 18:43

You are putting your foot crossed on his knee! Wtf no one sits on the bus with legs crossed and out especially if it’s busy- I’m presuming that’s why he sat next to you

cassiatwenty · 27/01/2023 18:46

OP come thru, we need to get you a pair of new shoes for my Open Day 😻
