Take myself off to a cottage in the country for a couple of months and finally write that novel that’s rumbling around in my head.

Go to Australia.

See where my late son lived and died, speak to people who knew him, see what kind of life he had there, where he worked, what gym, pub did he go to, where did he shop, just the normal day to day stuff, what bus did he get to work.

But I'm not sure if it would help me with accept what's happened or make me worse.

I am really sorry read this. I hope you find some peace however you can Flowers

Do a bungee jump and a plane jump! And eat what I want when I want how I want

What’s stopping you.
I never took my husbands name
It’s not against the law

I thought the same thing Everyonehasavoice!

Take antidepressants.
It’s unhelpful when you are too anxious about the side effects and withdrawal to take medication for your anxiety and depression.

RunItOff · 10/08/2023 17:43

Jump off a tall building and flyyyyyy….

RunItOff · 10/08/2023 17:44

Go to North Korea, Somalia, Iran, India, Afghanistan and Algeria. Alone and travel around.

Yours is less killy so you should do it!

I'd love to do these too, plus Iraq, Ukraine & Pakistan.

Will definitely do Ukraine once the war is over as feel they'll need the tourists / money to help rebuild.

xogossipgirlxo · 10/08/2023 17:54

Would go totally nc with my sister
Stay with my child home not for a year, but 2 or 3 years if I could afford it

CurlewKate · 10/08/2023 18:02

"Legally go back to my maiden name"
You can do that on line for 20 quid.

I worded that very badly!
I’d like to return to my maiden name without issues from certain people. I should just do it.

Can you really do it for £20?

CurlewKate · 10/08/2023 20:07

@MiaMoor Sorry-it's gone up. But still only 40 quid. Go for it! www.gov.uk/change-name-deed-poll/enrol-a-deed-poll-with-the-courts

CurlewKate · 10/08/2023 20:08

@MiaMoor If you live in Kent, I'll witness if for you!

Aposterhasnoname · 10/08/2023 20:14

Visit North Korea, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan. Sell the house, and move to the Cotswolds or Cornwall, and get a part time job to see me through to retirement.

I don’t, but thank you 😁

NoraLuka · 10/08/2023 20:25

Walk out of the house and go for a long distance hike/bike ride/horse ride - not sure on the transport and haven’t sat on a horse for 20 years but I’d just like a break from my life, to see new places and have time to think.

@MrsTerryPratchett Algeria is a gorgeous country, my ex ILs live there and when I left ExH I think I was more sad about never seeing them again and never going back to Algeria than actually getting divorced! I never felt unsafe there although I only went to the north coast which is the safest part.

MrsTerryPratchett · 10/08/2023 20:42

Ooooo I'll put Algeria back on the list.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 10/08/2023 20:45

Retire

AffIt · 10/08/2023 20:45

Train as a florist, buy that house with eight acres of land near Oban, get more cats.

JamSandle · 10/08/2023 21:01

Horseride again

Doyouthinktheyknow · 10/08/2023 21:14

I would up sticks, leave my job and move to Whitby. I’m a southerner so it would be a big move and frankly I don’t have the guts to do it. Definitely not now and I don’t think I ever will. Too far from family and friends and I worry as a southerner, I wouldn’t be very welcome.

I didn't pay. Just changed my name on everything. Bank account, uni degree (done post divorce). Nothing I'm married name.
