Why on earth did Lisa Marie Presley marry MJ?

I know this is fully none of my business but I cannot understand why she married Michael Jackson.

Most press coverage alludes to it being a marriage of convenience to distract from the child abuse allegations against Jackson. That makes sense but if that's true, what was in it for her?

I could fully understand it if she was just some nobody trying to break into modelling/acting, or a C lister trying to climb up.

It's baffling.

It never would've crossed my mind that she would've had financial issues. You'd think there would be hundreds of millions pouring into that estate every year.
