Baby lead weaning. Fancy name for Your baby trying out foods. It’s not revolutionary

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/01/2023 21:28

People who can't conduct themselves with respect to others in the cinema. If you want to do a running commentary watch it at fucking home. If you aren't interested in the film it does not give you the right to get your phone out and scroll. You are creating artificial light in a dark room. Get some manners and stop or take it outside.

The recent changes to the use of the words gift and gifted. Nauseating. You GAVE someone something. Stop trying to make yourself seem like some philanthropist with amazing acts of largesse.

The recent trend, as seen on Mumsnet, of omitting the words TO BE

Needs fed
Needs remade
Needs cleaned

TO BE TO BE TO BE AAAAAARRRGGGGGHHH

  • My socks twisting themselves around my foot so they end up with the ankle bit on the top
  • people's rubbish in my car
  • mud
  • 'friendly' dogs with muddy paws jumping up on me
  • my friends addressing each other and me as 'hun' or 'hon' or 'love' instead of our names
Pinkflipflop85 · 12/01/2023 21:30

Stupid, bastarding double sized loo roll.

I just want to buy a normal size one (looking at you Asda).

HermioneIsMyHomegirl · 12/01/2023 21:30

The final series of Game of Thrones.

Not that irrational, as it was a fucking disaster, but my level of ire is really unwarranted.

My kids using Americanisms.

Minecraft YouTube videos. Holy shit, why?!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/01/2023 21:33

Oh and really specific to me, dogs off lead in the local cemetery. There are multiple signs along the paths, there is a free for all large public park literally adjacent to the cemetery, where is your respect?

Georgeskitchen · 12/01/2023 21:34

People who think it's weird to call.themselves mummy /daddy to their pets.
It's not weird at all!! 😉😉

People who drag their feet when they walk.

I can’t walk behind someone who doesn’t pick their feet up without saying ‘Pick your feet up!’

Maybe the dogs can’t read.

That clicky sound disposable coffee cups make when folk drink from them
the self scan bellowing at me about unexpected items
people who tut or are audibly exasperated for no good reason
leaving dirty plates, cups in work sink unwashed . Don’t just dump it unwashed you fuckers

How do you know someone’s tutting or gasping for no good reason?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/01/2023 21:40

Grin LOL @Tamarindtree I'd wager some can read better than their owner!

Gemstar2 · 12/01/2023 21:41

Tea slippers. Just wait 2 minutes if it’s too hot!

Tamarindtree · 12/01/2023 21:41

Three for two but there are only two items left on the shelf.

trythisforsize · 12/01/2023 21:41

Stupidly loud motorbike exhausts. I call all of them horrific names with my mad words under my breath. It's the most I ever swear.

Gemstar2 · 12/01/2023 21:41

People who use the word gift/gifted instead of give/gave. I'm on a baby group and if someone can't make it instead of writing "I'd like to give my place to someone" they say "I'd like to gift the place to someone" for some reason it just really irritates it. It's like saying gift makes it sound like you are doing something wonderful, here have a gift.

Yes!! Why’s everyone suddenly started doing this?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/01/2023 21:43

The fact that it seems impossible to get Kinder Chocobons anywhere! When you google it's implied lots of places sell them but follow the links and they are not to be found. Mystery.

BlueBlueBlueWinter · 12/01/2023 21:44

People not using headphones when using their phones - I don't want to hear other people's conversations / terrible music choices / even worse YouTube videos, especially when I'm on the train on my way into work.

Actually, people talking on my commute to work in general.

Mummybearto3bg · 12/01/2023 21:45

When someone comes towards you with a spoon of random food to taste 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣

I hate it that much that I'd be the arsehole that made an issue of it I think Blush

Did you misunderstand the premise of the thread,I don’t need to justify things that make me irrationally mad.
So, No explanation or justification will be forthcoming

SpringsRightAroundTheCorner · 12/01/2023 21:47

Everything is a journey now, "my breastfeeding journey" 🤮, our trying to conceive JOURNEY, weaning journey, insert pretty much anything and it's a journey. No. You aren't going anywhere. You are breastfeeding, trying for a baby, weaning your baby, whatever. There is no journey to anywhere.

Gwdiwho · 12/01/2023 21:50

I get the rage when I’m constantly asked to prove I am not a robot by clicking on little pictures of ‘fire hydrants’, ‘traffic lights’ or ‘hills’- argh!
