Loud eaters.. if drives me insane! Especially if it’s gum

TheChosenTwo · 12/01/2023 20:51

Ambling dawdlers bumbling in front of me.
I’m not talking about anyone who has a need to walk slowly of course. But people that just aimless bimble and dawdle about and slow me down really fuck me the fuck off.
The smell of dog.
Walking into the door of the open dishwasher. Irrational because it’s usually me that left it open and it have several gouges to my ankle. I also feel my reaction to this when it happens is probably disproportionate to the event.

BeansOnToast32 · 12/01/2023 20:53

Dog walkers who have their dog off lead while they walk around with their face glued to their phone paying absolutely no attention to what their dog is doing.

Happens every single walk, the other day I was walking my puppy and off lead dog comes charging up to my on lead dog trying to get her to play, the owner carries on walking completely oblivious and ends up disappearing from view. Confused I carry on walking but the dog carries on following me while tormenting my dog so I had to stop and wait for the other owner to turn up when they realised their dog was missing.

Smelling cooking smells in the house outside of the meal time eg making Sunday roast for lunch and then smelling it into the evening. Makes me stressed and angry.

Pedestrians who are in a couple or group, walking beside each other when there are other walkers behind or approaching from opposite direction. I should not have to fucking scale someone's wall, or step into the road, so that you can keep walking next to your friend/spouse. Groups are the worst: DO ALL FOUR OF YOU NEED TO WALK IN A ROW? REALLY? Like sweeping for mines bloody hell, on now I'm angry thinking about it hahah

Totally agree with the smells

leithreas · 12/01/2023 20:56

My dog licking the air. He just sits there air-licking for fucking ages every evening. I often leave the room and let him get on with it. It really gives me the rage.

Oh this!

It's never bothered me before, or maybe Ive been lucky not to be around noisy eaters, but now sit next to one at work. I've never heard anyone eat crisps so loud!

It really gives me rage every time I hear the crisp packet being opened!

Zone2NorthLondon · 12/01/2023 20:59

i worked with a pita who hated crisps etc,I took delight in loudly rummaging crisps in their proximity

EncroachingLoaf · 12/01/2023 21:03

Trying to separate a load of tangled up coat hangers.

When I drop something plastic and round on the tiled floor and it clatters around for ages making loads of noise.

People at work asking multiple inane questions at nearly finished meetings, adding another 20 minutes onto those meetings.

Bacon packets that say 'pull tab'. Lies.

TheRealKatnissEverdeen · 12/01/2023 21:06

@2PintsOfCidernaBagofCrisps that gave me a good laugh particularly the parking. I feel completely the same.

LexMitior · 12/01/2023 21:06

People who wear sports kit when not doing sport
People who use their phone on loudspeaker in public
People who say"I know my rights/speaking personally" - inevitably they don't know but they do seem to think their personal view is a right in of itself
That ridiculous fake tan and super black eyebrow combination on a woman - you are more beautiful underneath

Remagirl · 12/01/2023 21:06

Those people that just coast around the aisles of the supermarket with no real purpose or intent. They tend to occupy the middle of the aisle but veer in front of you should you try to pass or pick something up 😂

MrsMiddleMother · 12/01/2023 21:07

Definitely irrational but I hate it when people wait for me to pass when there is clearly enough room for both of us to walk past each other, meaning I then have to thank them when I didn't need to.

Draculaalaa · 12/01/2023 21:11

Anybody calling pets their fur child or fur baby.

Reality TV

Big sparkly costume rings on the hands of staff at work (SEN school) that I just know snags on every fibre of their jumper.

LexMitior · 12/01/2023 21:15

Fur baby is wrong.

My preferred term is "crazy cat lady" (I am one) but draw the line at fur baby.

Clothes on cats. Just don't. And don't give them a bath either, it's horrible

TroysMammy · 12/01/2023 21:17

"Easy" peelers.
Photos of my niece giving thumbs up.
Curly telephone cables.
A neighbour parking her car outside my house because we've got cctv.

TroysMammy · 12/01/2023 21:19

Posted too soon.
Refuse collector lorries who have to park in the middle of the road when they can pull in to let you past.

GlassBunion · 12/01/2023 21:20

Your logic is sound but is it right to turf a widow/widower out of their family home that they've lived in for several decades?

The government should never have allowed' the right to buy' scheme. So many of these properties were sold , as soon as possible, and were bought by property dealers who knew what would happen.

They became housing associations/property developers and landlords with vast portfolios.
The councils stopped building council homes .

So here we are.

People on lower incomes needing properties that barely exist that cost more than mortgages that they cannot acquire.
Yet the vast majority of homes being built, that the government says that are desperately needed and are being built on ripped up green belt, are 'luxury' homes.

We need homes for everyone at every level. Fed up of these so called 'luxury' new builds.

Scalottia · 12/01/2023 21:21

Hating dog poo on the pavement is irrational? Half of this thread is stuff would be annoying to anyone, not really irrational.

Yes to the PP who wrote people wearing sports kit when not doing sport...this really bothers me too. And people who wear pajamas or jogging bottoms etc in public. Please don't. Keep that at home.

GlassBunion · 12/01/2023 21:21

Sorry ... I think I just ranted there... apologies.

You get mad at paying someone minimum wage to do your shopping for you?

parsniiips · 12/01/2023 21:23

When I'm walking on a pavement at my own pace which is not speed walking but also not dawdling and someone crosses the road and cuts right infront of me then dawdles along blocking my path.
And people who get right up my arse who want to go faster than me and just keep on walking really close behind me instead of walking around me and over taking.

When people pull out infront of me in the car when it's a bit too close, even though there is a gap behind or empty road. Why not just hang on 5 seconds then pull out when it's actually clear .

yaflouloci · 12/01/2023 21:24

People who don't know that the hose at a fuel pump (all new garages and forecourts) generally reaches to the opposite side of your car.

Jomummy1013 · 12/01/2023 21:25

When you're driving, people who don't acknowledge when you give way to them etc.

Jomummy1013 · 12/01/2023 21:26

yaflouloci · 12/01/2023 21:24

Yes! And this! So there is a massive queue for one pump and nothing at the next one!

Scalottia · 12/01/2023 21:26

Oh anf all of those silly names for playing - messy play, sensory play, soft play....it's just fucking playing. Does my head in, I can't remember hearing any of this nonsense when I was young!
