What's for tea tonight?

Or dinner, or whatever you may call your evening meal?

I'm considering fish cakes but not sure what with yet. We had chips and beans with tea on Monday, then chippy chips last night, because I've been a bit under the weather. Don't really fancy chips again but not got much "go" left after the first day back at work <sigh>

I briefly considered a walk to the shop for some tomatoes to do a really basic salad with them but have decided to wait & see if dd1 might go instead of me 🙈

Anyway, what are you all eating tonight?

Pasta in a really cheesy sauce. Cayenne pepper and black pepper. Snippets of crispy bacon. Not a vegetable in sight.

Marmite spaghetti with mushrooms and cheese.

Chile con carne (with diced carrots and sliced peppers), rice and garlic bread.

Sweet potato, chick pea and spinach curry with naan bread.

Lots of nice sounding meals going on & some easy ones that I didn't think of but would have hit the nail on the head tonight!

Tonight me has decided that, tomorrow me fancies dal & rice & something bread-ish to dip, so I sorted that to go in the slow cooker first thing & am already looking forward to it. I should really make more use of my slow cooker, it's not out much at all lately.

Still finishing up the Christmas supplies so bread, cheese and some crisps. Must start eating better soon!

Tacos tonight but I've just looked in the fridge and realised there are still bacon and sausages that weren't used at new year. Tomorrow will therefor be a breakfast fry up for tea! Leftover tacos turning to nachos for Friday.

Pork belly, honey roast vegetables and mash, with pear and chocolate crumble after.

We are having the Aldi vegan battered sausages, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce… true seaside chippy tea style 🤣

That sounds soooo good!

Roast chicken, roast parsnips and carrots, with mash for DH (I'm low carbing so I'll skip that).

We've both been unwell for almost two weeks now, so meals are being kept very simple and low effort. I plan to make a good, hearty chicken soup with the leftovers.

Coconut fish curry with green beans and spinach and rice.

Everyone else's sounds far nicer though.

Sadly we are doing the whole healthy thing and I'm already missing my wine and pasta!

For once (in a blue moon) we had bacon, lots of mushrooms, tomatoes, fried eggs, and plenty of fried potatoes. It was yum.

We had chilli jackets with yogurt and avocado with looooaaaads of grated cheese

@Igotthegoose it was soooo good! My guilty pleasure. Mother fed my DC while I was at work so i just had to feed myself.

We had spaghetti hoops and toast. We are all adults or nearly adults. But sometimes cheap and easy is essential

Very basic sausages, jacket and beans for me, DP and DSS tonight. I fancied a quick and easy oven dinner to cook.

Chicken salad with some crusty bread. Had fishcakes the other night with salad a few wedges.

Chicken soup with lots and lots of garlic.

Roasted aloo gobi with either naan or rice not decided yet

Slow cooker beef stew with buttered cabbage tonight.

The rest of yesterday's leftover beef turned into beef and tomato soup with black eyed beans and dumplings.

Creamy chicken pasta with spinach I wish I bought some garlic bread but will have to do without
