What's for tea tonight?

Or dinner, or whatever you may call your evening meal?

I'm considering fish cakes but not sure what with yet. We had chips and beans with tea on Monday, then chippy chips last night, because I've been a bit under the weather. Don't really fancy chips again but not got much "go" left after the first day back at work <sigh>

I briefly considered a walk to the shop for some tomatoes to do a really basic salad with them but have decided to wait & see if dd1 might go instead of me 🙈

Anyway, what are you all eating tonight?

marmite teriyaki tofu ramen bowl, with baby corn, edamame, mushrooms, spinach and sugar snap peas. Tomorrow it is jackets with beans and cheese 😁

Ooooh this sounds delicious! Love teriyaki tofu but never would have tried marmite with it.

We’re having Diet Coke chicken with egg fried rice and veg.

Chicken and tomato pasta with pitta bread.
It's from the freezer (part of a batch cook and my dds favourite).

Brinner- breakfast for dinner. Sausages, eggs, hash browns, Beas

laddersandsnakes12 · 04/01/2023 16:56

I pulled a small tub of frozen veg curry out of the freezer earlier and another, larger, mystery tub - so one of us is having veg curry and the rest are having a mystery meal. Really need to order some stickers for all my leftover tubs!

Mac and cheese with spinach in the cheese sauce, in an attempt to get some veg into DD / because we always have the ingredients in and we're due a shop

We do this but add either cauliflower or butternut squash and purée them. You can't really tell with the squash

Frozen pizza. I've got a sweet chilli one, DH has a pepperoni and DD8 a cheese & tomato. And then beans on toast for DS4 who doesn't like pizza.

Wednesday is always hair wash night so we need a quick dinner I can leave to cook whilst drying DD's super long and thick hair!

Chicken and rice in a chicken tonight sauce.

I got some truffle flavoured pasta for Christmas so I'm having that with grilled vegetarian black pudding and roasted tomatoes. I'll add a drizzle of balsamic glaze and grate some truffle cheese I bought for Christmas and haven't eaten yet.

RelativePitch · 04/01/2023 17:03

Honey mustard glazed gammon, baked potatoes, coleslaw, broccoli.

Suzie0003 · 04/01/2023 17:05

Tonight is fishfingers, eggs, chips and baked beans.
Tomorrow is a slightly healthier roast chicken dinner.

UncomfortableSilence · 04/01/2023 17:05

Spaghetti Bolognaise to try out my lovely new pans I got on a recent Home Sense trip Smile With a salad and cheesy garlic bread.

Chicken curry (using up a glut of chicken thighs). The boys are having it with rice before football practice and DP and I will have it with daal (from the freezer) and air fryer onion bhajjis later.

Chicken thighs are finally used up so pork mince lettuce cups tomorrow and chilli on Friday - very excited for all of it!

BlackInk · 04/01/2023 17:15

Me, DP and DS – Spicy tomato, veg and red lentil soup (made with sad looking veg from the bottom of the fridge yesterday) with crusty bread and butter and a bit of grated cheese on top.
DD – She's taken a packed tea to the stables and it's leftover pesto, spinach, onion and cheese puff pastry tart.

Wagamama! One of their tofu curries I think. I am craving tofu right now. (Not vegetarian, just LOVE tofu!)

ColinRobinsonsfamiliar · 04/01/2023 17:29
