What's for tea tonight?

Or dinner, or whatever you may call your evening meal?

I'm considering fish cakes but not sure what with yet. We had chips and beans with tea on Monday, then chippy chips last night, because I've been a bit under the weather. Don't really fancy chips again but not got much "go" left after the first day back at work <sigh>

I briefly considered a walk to the shop for some tomatoes to do a really basic salad with them but have decided to wait & see if dd1 might go instead of me 🙈

Anyway, what are you all eating tonight?

Take away pizza because I’m poorly and really can’t be faffed to cook tonight. Both kids are fussy so finding something they’ll both eat is a nightmare and I can’t face it today.

I've made a cottage pie and will have it with roasted broccoli and cauliflower, with extra gravy. We all need some veg in us!

DH is out. I've got some leftover red cabbage biryani and half a pack of paneer, so I think I'll have that. DC will have an oven pizza.

catfunk · 04/01/2023 16:39

Roasted squash with salad and halloumi and hummus Or Roasted squash with sausage apple and kale in a one tin dinner. I've a massive squash to get through.

fitflopqueen · 04/01/2023 16:39

Chicken breast marinated and cooked with harissa and yoghurt, now cooling, half to go on a wrap with salad as going out later and will take with me. Remainder will top todays lunch - tomato, pepper and chickpea stew, tomorrow’s lunch. Got to love leftovers.

Thai red curry and for the first time ever I'm going to try making it with fish instead of chicken! (I don't usually eat fish unless it's from the chippy 😳)

Lilibert456 · 04/01/2023 16:41

@mizu Your dinner sounds lovely. If you enjoy this type of cooking have you seen the Roasting Tin cook books by Rukhmini Iyer. Loads of lovely ideas in there too.
