I had tahini mushrooms on pumpernickel bread - was delicious. Much less faff than it sounds.

fry mushrooms, while those are on mix 1 tbsp tahini, 0.5 tsp stock/bouillon powder, 3 tbsp boiling water and toast whatever bread you use.

when mushrooms done, stir in tahini mix, bubble for 30secs or so till thickened and put on toast.

its a Patrick Holford low GI recipe

@DilemmaDelilah I’m trying to drop refined carbs too. Lunch was lentil and ham soup leftover from yesterday and a buttered wholemeal roll. Managed to avoid the biscuit mountain which is still here from Christmas!

Overnight oats topped with blueberries and cinnamon. Multiple cups of coffee.

ThreeRingCircus · 04/01/2023 14:08

A McDonald's sausage and egg mcmuffin, a hash brown and a coffee! I rarely have breakfast but was in my local city for an early meeting and treated myself.

Porridge - 2 mins in the microwave.

I couldn’t be doing with all that cooking and washing up for breakfast!

Huel. And coffee X 3.Smile

I've been looking to try this... Worth it? Flavour recommendations and discount codes etc?

Daffodilis · 04/01/2023 14:49

Blackberry smoothie, with homemade Greek yoghurt and chia seeds. I miss wanting to eat a good hearty breakfast in the morning, but my meds are really messing with my appetite.

Roundaboot · 04/01/2023 14:49

I'm doing Veganuary and also trying to just eat a bit better so it was overnight oats made with oat milk with ground seeds and cinnamon mixed in. Topped with coconut yoghurt and banana this morning. I was halfway through eating when I realised I intended to add almond butter too but it really didn't need it - was very tasty and filling.

Those mushrooms sound delicious! I love tahini and pumpernickel bread.

Catspyjamas17 · 04/01/2023 14:49

Scrambled egg on soya and linseed toast.

cheeseandwineissofine · 04/01/2023 14:50

Everyone is so healthy. I had a monster energy

HeyMicky · 04/01/2023 14:50

Boiled egg with low fat mayo, an espresso and pre workout. Protein shake after the gym.

All truly terrible but meets requirements

AllLopsided · 04/01/2023 14:55

Mushrooms sound lovely although I think I'd make them for lunch!

I had defrosted berries and Greek yoghurt with a squeeze of honey. I like porridge in winter too, so tend to alternate. Occasionally have cornflakes or toast!

MyOtherCarIsAPorsche · 04/01/2023 14:59

I had three out of date pikelets with far too much butter, plus additional salt and nine silverskin onions.

I was craving salt and vinegar.

I get really strong cravings (mainly chocolate ones).

QuietYou · 04/01/2023 15:00

Three cups of tea, cauliflower and potato soup, an apple and a chunk of Stilton.

DilemmaDelilah · 04/01/2023 15:25

@Bobbins36 I'm having beef stew and broccoli tonight. Trying to up my vegetable intake as well.

Greek yoghurt with frozen blueberries and a good sprinkling of low sugar granola. I'd just done a workout and was hungry!
