OMG yes, that whole soundtrack is amazing! Although the version of The Flame Still Burns on the actual soundtrack CD goes on a bit too long with effects at the end.

Sorry but Flight of the Concords aren’t a fictional band, they were a band before the TV show started, I saw them live years ago now and they were great.

That Thing You Do is my favourite fictional band song, it was written by Adam Schlesinger from the band Fountains of Wayne (of Stacey’s Mom fame), who also co-wrote the songs in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, the best song from which is First Penis

Starburst by the Venus Hunters.

Excellent TV show but for some reason never repeated or available on DVD (luckily I still have the video I recorded at the time).
The CD is full of atmospheric 80's music and Starburst is just spot on and in tune with the era it was set in.
