I was remembering back when I was kid, my Nan would pick us up from school, and take us back to her house where we would have a small tea.

One thing we loved was tidgy puds and gravy. I was gutted when they stopped doing tidgy puds

You can get Neapolitans in TK Maxx because I've seen them. Dobbies used to do them as well when they did their own food but they were £6 a box and those were the days when I was broke.
Not bought any btw so don't know if they're the same.
So many lovely things I'd forgotten, United Biscuits, chocolate rich teas, Frys Five centres, Biarritz bars..........also used to be a bar of Dairy box; it was a chocolate bar with 8 different Dairy box chocolates forming part of the bar.
Those fruit creams, a bit like poppets, in that type of box.
I remember those chocolate filled teddy bears @PlaitBilledDuckyPuss , we quite often got them in our Christmas stockings; my mum said they were 'Izzy Noho' some programme I barely remember.
Does anyone remember an absolutely divine chocolate bar that Nestle did (years ago) called Dream? it didn't last very long, unfortunately, I must have been the only person who liked it.
Also Jaffa cakes which had white chocolate and a lattice pattern on and a cherry filling. My mum adored those.

Breakfast slices! Like a cross between bacon and sausage, used to have them before school in the 90’s

Logicalreasoning · 14/12/2022 23:17

There used to be this frozen pasta, with broccoli, and other veg from m&S we used to add spam in, it was one of my fave foods as a kid.
also entermanns chocolate fudge cake , we’d destroy one if those in one sitting.
mccain pizza fingers... they were the best snack ever. Took 10 mins to cook and actually tasted good.

The still have these in sainsburys, I get them for kids to put on pizza 😊

HedgehogB · 14/12/2022 23:22

Yes, it’s no longer the same . Very sad.

HedgehogB · 14/12/2022 23:23

Does anyone remember a large chocolate bear filled with fondant (similar to Creme Egg filling]? They were lovely.

yes i remember these i used to love them.

inky1991 · 14/12/2022 23:24

It's a drink - Aqualibre. I know they've brought a new version out but it's nothing like the 90s version.

Royal Scot biscuits. My favourites. There was also a biscuit that was very crumbly but still crisp, and had peanuts baked into them. Can’t remember what those were called.

Morrisons sell peanut cookies that are very close 😋

Piglets. Hollow crisps in the shape of tiny 3D pigs.

United. Chocolate biscuits with little bits of cinder toffee embedded in the chocolate.

Bagel chips. I used to buy these in the US, can't find them for love nor money here.

OMG piglets!!! Had totally forgotten about them 🤣. They were gorgeous!

It seems hard to get nice 'orange creme' anything these days. Or orange cream or orange ice cream.

I think you can find hills biscuits - and all the creme flavours, in home bargains and/or B&M if you have them near you!

Icepinkeskimo · 14/12/2022 23:46

McVities Abbey Crunch biscuits, not to sweet just perfect…

alwaysonadiet1 · 15/12/2022 00:16

Coconut boosts! Mmmmm

DatasCat · 15/12/2022 00:30

KP chilli flavour peanuts. The versions existing today don’t even come close.

My gran’s ‘babka’, a vanilla sponge cake with drizzle icing. I also miss the fish/chicken in aspic that she used to do for special occasions.

WiddlinDiddlin · 15/12/2022 00:35

Another biscuit I've remembered whilst mourning the loss of the All Butter Thin (whcih the internet knows nothing about and no one else remembers!)...

McVities Orange Jaspers... they were fantastic! Orangey .. and biscuity!

AddictedtoStarmix · 15/12/2022 00:53

I miss Sara Lee pecan pie. May have eaten a whole one in one go more than once.
I really miss coconut boosts too, the biscuit ones are far too sickly and sweet.

Aiaichipsnpie · 15/12/2022 00:54

Hippopotamousse
coffee matchmakers
zoom ice lollies
Britvic Quencher

walnutmarzipan · 14/12/2022 20:17

Yep they were a proper chocolate bar

Why was the name changed to something so ridiculous?

Snickers. I mean, who even uses that word outside the US? And it sounds like snigger, and knickers, and others things that have nothing to do with chocolate.

tobee · 15/12/2022 01:12

Puffa puffa Rice cereal. It stained the milk honey coloured.

I asked my dad this once (he's 87) and he said Kunzel Cakes.

tobee · 15/12/2022 01:14

Oh and gingerella biscuits.

ozymandiusking · 15/12/2022 01:56

I loved the round boxes of triangular shaped cream cheese came in different flavours.
Also coconut mushrrooms and pink and white coconut ice.
When taking the guides camping, one of the puddings we did was, butterscotch instant whip with smarties mixed in.They loved it.
..

twanmever · 15/12/2022 02:03

Birds Eye boil in the bag minced beef with veg in gravy was soooo tasty. I don’t want it back though - it was removed from the freezers in shops at the time of the BSE crisis.

twanmever · 15/12/2022 02:10

the one I do want back is this Macintosh beauty 😍
