Katie Price - another dog death

BobbyBobbyBobby · 26/11/2022 02:27

Pet Pomeranian Sharon allegedly escaped through a garden gate that had been left open and was later run over and taken by the driver to a vet but sadly had died.

Apparently this is the sixth pet under her ownership to die.

A horse was hit by a vehicle and died in 2017.

In 2018 her Alsatian Queenie was run over by a delivery driver and killed.

A chameleon called Marvin died after her children Princess and Junior went to stay with their father. It was reported that Marvin died of a broken heart.

In 2020 another Alsatian, Sparkle died after being hit by a car.

Also In 2020, French Bulldog Rolo was found dead after family’s nanny sat on the puppy after it dozed off under a chair when Katie illegally gave it vet prescription-only cannabis oil.

Another Alsatian called Bear had to be rehomed after it attacked other animals.

Losing one pet through unintentional carelessness is tragic but six pets losing their lives is unacceptable!

What I genuinely fail to understand is how, with her £800,000 of debts under a repayment plan with creditors, she can continue to afford plastic surgery, therapy at The Priory, foreign holidays and home improvements. Not one of these things is cheap. Creditors should get paid first. Many are small businesses and will be struggling.

Where is all this money coming from? What is the source of her income?

I cannot see how any company could contemplate sponsoring her. The image is all wrong. Drunk driving. Driving without a licence and insurance. Animal neglect. And the "Me. me. me. me. me!" attitude. It is just so ugly.

So where is the money coming from?

She's on only fans by the looks of her Instagram

I’ve got ADHD and have never neglected or killed any pets! It’s nothing to do with that as ADHD usually comes with a high empathy, caring mentality (albeit disorganised at times and perhaps impulsive acquisition of pets for some (not all)) so this looks like something else to me. Please don’t tar us with this!

LindaEllen · 26/11/2022 11:39

There should definitely be some kind of license you need before you're allowed animals of any kind.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/11/2022 11:40

While our society continues to fete vacuous pointless 'celebs' who are only famous for being famous, this kind of collateral damage will continue.
Everyone who follows her, watches her on TV or buys her books is responsible for her car crash of a life.

KillingLoneliness · 26/11/2022 11:47

I feel sorry for her in the sense that she was a victim when she was young and vulnerable and was taken advantage of but instead of maturing and making a new path for herself as she got older she has continued to spiral.
Either no one has been there to offer her the correct support to seek out help or she just doesn’t recognise she has a problem and keeps repeating the same mistakes.

I hope after her life plays out in public for people to dissect and judge, that more understanding of ADHD comes of it.
This is how badly ADHD can stop you functioning. Hopefully she is able to manage it going forward and get the support and medication she so clearly needs to live a less chaotic life.

This is absolute rubbish. I have inattentive ADHD but if you know you’re naturally disorganised then you create systems. ADHD does not stop you doing things that are vitally important like having a fence repaired to stop a pet escaping.

The only thing that would prevent a second reoccurrence of a careless event leading to the death of a pet is a lack of conscience and lack of guilt. That’s why I’m pretty sure she’s a sociopath, hence the ‘dead’ eyes.

Dreamsoffreedomjoyandpeace · 26/11/2022 12:16

Just a recurrence…not a second reoccurrence! Duh!

user1471538283 · 26/11/2022 12:16

She doesn't care. Everything is replaceable to her. Whether she is diagnosed or not. Mentally ill people and people with ADHD successfully care for animals and children. The difference is she doesn't care.

user1471538283 · 26/11/2022 12:17

@Dreamsoffreedomjoyandpeace - you are so right! Another one with dead eyes.

None of this is “sad”, it’s neglect and she shouldn’t have animals. Anyone who gives a shit about their pets would have been devastated by the first death and done everything possible to secure their premises so that the next pet wouldn’t get out and be run over. Reptiles don’t die of a “broken heart” ffs, she obviously neglected it when the kids left, so badly that it died. I have no sympathy for people who buy animals as though they’re objects and then let them suffer.

Perfectly put and I totally agree. I have zero sympathy with her.

Palmtreedance · 26/11/2022 12:19

I honestly just feel bad for her (obviously the pets too)
I think she could've been a happy, well rounded and caring mother, "fame" ruined her, her marriage to Peter Andre didn't help her either

Rubbish. I know many people who have been through horrendously tough times, abuse, PTSD etc, they dont neglect their pets to the point that 6 consecutive animals have died. She shouldnt get a bloody pet if she cannot look after it. She should be banned from owning pets from now on. Animals, children and the elderly are vulnerable and its not ok to abuse them simply because you have been through difficult times.

I'm sorry but this is an animal neglect matter not an ADHD matter. It also reflects badly on other people who have ADHD and who are responsible pet owners!

TheaBrandt · 26/11/2022 12:25

At my old firm we occasionally had clients like this. My boss would call them Calamity Janes. There’s a type of very pretty woman who has been spoilt and pandered to and never steps up to adult responsibilities. They make dreadful mothers.

Sorry but I don’t think ADHD is a good enough explanation.
ADHD and autism is pretty common in vets (I have both and I’m a vet student), it’s not an excuse for this many animals to die. One tragic accident is sometimes understandable but this many is never okay.

I think ADHD absolutely could be part of the cause but I don’t think it ever makes it okay. Even if you have ADHD you should be able to stop getting more after a string of animal deaths. It’s her responsibility to get help after something like this happens. Don’t infantilise her, she’s still a grown woman.

And I honestly do hope she gets the help she obviously so desperately needs but it’s not okay.

Clarefromwork · 26/11/2022 12:26

She comes across as quite a blank person when it comes to emotions (probably due to previous trauma) I get the impression that she probably doesn’t feel the same sort of grief as other people when a pet dies.

MissBattleaxe · 26/11/2022 12:26

When you have so many pets that’s it’s practically a farm you are going to naturally get some animals die.

I disagree. The animal deaths could have been prevented. None lived to a comfortable old age. She seems to be addicted to cute little puppies but doesn't actually want to do the grown up stuff like making sure they're safe.

Exactly. Of course pets die eventually but they didnt die of old age or natural causes, they ALL died young due to careless accidents and neglect. Unless you think its normal for most dogs to die before they reach a year old????

Suffrajitsu · 26/11/2022 12:39

Reptiles like chameleons are quite a faff to keep, given that they need heat lamps to be turned up and down, UVB lamps to be turned on and off, fresh food (including insects), to say nothing of regular cleaning etc. I suspect KP never let any of that get in the way of her social life. That poor chameleon must have had a slow and utterly miserable death.

So where is the money coming from?

I believe all her plastic surgery is free. I remember after her last breast enlargement her Mum was quoted as saying how she was worried about Katie being addicted to plastic surgery and that the trouble was that KP never has to pay, it's all offered free and it all seems to be done abroad.

I'm not sure how she pays for the rest though, unless she is doing really well on Only Fans, and even then her priority should be paying back her creditors.

She is a mess.

EachandEveryone · 26/11/2022 12:47

There was a cat as well

Lovethatforyou · 26/11/2022 12:49

She is highly dangerous. It’s only good luck she hasn’t killed anyone on the road.

Her children have had to be removed from her care. And animals die in her care.

I don’t feel sorry for her - she’s awful!

Me too and actually - removing any discussion about how toxic her life choices are for her kids - I'll be honest and say I absolutely judge her for such behaviour

Don't forget the Dalmatian puppies that got into the swimming pool
And drowned under the cover !
She has a lot of animals and lives on a very busy dual carriageway ( near me )
